The use of state-wide linked data is growing in research as it can provide an efficient and cost-effective way to obtain robust data from large populations. However, acquiring linked data from multiple states and territories in Australia have rarely been done due to the complexities regarding the different ethical requirements across the jurisdictions.

The authors are commenting on the article entitled “Loss of peak vision in retinal vein occlusion patiets treated for macular edema” published by Iftikhar et al. in Am J Ophthalmol 2019; 205(September):17-26. After thorough analysis of the issues related to the central retinal vein occlusions, the authors concluded that the central/hemicentral retinal vein occlusion has to be considered an ophthalmic emergency. Therefore, therapy with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents has to be promptly applied as soon as possible after central retinal vein occlusion onset.

A risk of relapse in psychiatry happens when a recovered patient feels again symptoms associated in disorder which leads into crisis requiring rehospitalisation. The aim of this study is to determine socio-economic factors which might affect the relapse of patients suffering of mental disorder. It was a case-control study conducted for 12months, on 01 September 2014 to 30 September 2015, in Psychiatric University Hospital of Anjanamasina, including patients being hospitalized during the above period of time. Male gender was shown to be predominant in the survey.

This study aimed to analyze convicted elderly profile and understand which factors may influence crime practice by this population. In particular: 1) to point out what the current literature says about the elderly; 2) to investigate the factors that influence some elderly people to commit crimes; 3) to analyze elderly people profile who have committed crime and serve their sentence in open regime and conditional release in Pernambuco State.

Objective: To verify the risk for Postpartum Depression from the use of the Edimburgh Scale in an obstetric service in a municipality of Paraíba. Method: field research, descriptive, with quantitative approach. The research was carried out in the joint housing sector and the sample comprised of 136 puerperal women over the age of 18 who were hospitalized in the service in March and April 2019. This study aimed to characterize and associate factors related to the development of systemic arterial hypertension and oral health of hypertensive patients from a municipality of Ceará. This was a descriptive and quantitative study conducted with hypertensive patients from Aratuba - CE. After consent, a questionnaire was applied. For association between variables, Chi-square, Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests were applied according to their applicability. A value of p <0.05 was given. Of the 180 participants, 60% were female and 73.33% had family history of hypertension.

Introduction: Respiratory conditions may be upper or lower, and in many cases, it is associated with an infection. The most affected age group is between 0 and 9 years old, with the highest rates among those younger than 1 year, due to the immaturity of their immune system. Objective: To describe the medical resident’s attitude, knowledge and barriers towards the use CPGS at KFSH&RC. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to medical residents. The questionnaire hasfour parts: demographic characteristics, practitioners' knowledge, attitudes and barriers to CPGS. Results: The total number is 71 residents with a response rate of 100%. The mean age is 26.83 ± 2.1.54.9% of participants are used CPGS. In a scale of 5 the most barriers are lack of motivation to change 2.3 ± 1.1.

Objective: to present a reflection about the risk factors that lead to the onset of coronary artery disease. Method: Descriptive and exploratory study, conducted through integrative review of literature.
