Objective: To identify scientific articles on pressure-related injury in the elderly population during the period from October 2007 to October 2017. Methodology: A systematic bibliographic review of articles indexed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) of the Bireme network was carried out in the Bases of Data BDENF, LILACS and SCIELO. Results: We found and reviewed 19 articles that met the pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Adolescence begins puberty, the stage of life where sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are transmitted mainly through sexual contact, since sexuality is initiated with unprotected practices due to lack of information. The objective of this study is to evaluate adolescents' knowledge about STIs. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, carried out in a high school with adolescents enrolled in this institution through the application of a questionnaire on socioeconomic variables and the knowledge of adolescents about STI. Background of the study: Colostrum is the first milk produced by the mammary glands of mammals in late pregnancy just prior to giving birth and continuing through the early days of breastfeeding. This special milk is yellow to orange in color and thick and sticky. It is very rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamin A and sodium chloride, but contains lower amounts of lipids, fat and potassium than normal milk. This article is about a skin disorder which manifests itself as white patches (pigment destruction) in different locations of the body. There are many classifications for this disorder such as segmented, focal, generalized and universal vitiligo. In my article, I have mentioned some of the current methods used in the treatment such as UV rooms. However, there are many risks and long term side effects to this treatment. Besides at the end of the treatment, the patient leaves the clinic in disappointment and without being treated.

The dumps are considered potential sources of heavy metals, since various types of waste are disposed of inappropriately in this area and can contaminate the air, surface water and groundwater, and encouraging the spread of disease through vectors. This study aims to analyze the soil surface layers of the landfill in the municipality of Augustinópolis, Tocantins, about the presence of some heavy metals. It is a field research, with analysis of pH and heavy metals in the soil of the dump in order to compare the values obtained with the guiding values of the CONAMA resolution n ⁰ 420/2009.

Objective: The study had as purpose to examine the influence of physical and accessibility risks of the elderly’s falling risk. Methodology: It is a cross-sectional study, of descriptive and analytical character, with a census type of survey and of quantitative approach performed with 65 elderly people, of both sexes, that were registered in a Family Health Unit. Results: The predominance of the falling risk in this population was 38.5%, with the mean age in the falling risks group of 75.0 years (± 7.35), whereas with the risk free group it was 69, 53 years (± 8.32).

The emergency room, one of the possibility to access the Brazilian public health system, meets a growing demand of the elderly. This study was aimed to know the prevalence of use and associated factors with the emergency services utilization by the elderly, through population-based research in the five Brazilian geopolitical regions, in one hundred municipalities with different population sizes. Data were collected by electronic questionnaire from August 2008 to April 2009.
