Além disso, tem como objetivo secundário, auxiliar futuros estudos sobre a temática proposta. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, no formato de revisão integrativa da literatura.

Sex as a Predictor of Psychological Distress Among College of Medical Science Students, University of Guyana

Objectives: To explore the relationship between sex, psychological distress and disturbance of daily living activities of College of Medical Science students at the University of Guyana. Designs & Methods: The study was cross-sectional and utilised convenience sampling to select participants who provided consent before answering a questionnaire. The study used a modified Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale to evaluate students' well-being, mental health, concerns, medication usage, and coping strategies.

Assessment of Nutritional Status and Associated Factors Among Adolescent Population in rural Areas of Birbhum District, West Bengal

Background: A body of evidences showed that adolescent undernutrition is a serious public health problem in developing countries including India. Adolescent have typically been considered as low risk for poor health and often receive few health care resource and attention. However, their approach ignores the fact that many health problems later in life can be improved by adopting health life style habits in adolescents. This study aimed to assess prevalence of nutritional status and associated factors among adolescent population in rural areas of Birbhum district, West Bengal.

An Unusual Case of Cystic Lung Disease with small Cell Lung Cancer

Cystic lung disease is nowadays being increasingly identified as newer diagnostics facilities are available. Cystic lung disease is a broad group starting from infection like pneumocystis to even malignancy. In our case a young female from Rural Bengal came with a history of cough and progressive dyspneoa for 3 years and hemoptysis and weight loss for 3 months. She had clubbing and on auscultation of chest bilateral basal crepts were heard. Her previous reports showed that she had done an HRCT thorax already 4 months ago which revealed a cystic lung disease.

Background: There is a 1 in 300 chance of a patient being harmed during health care. (10 Facts on Patient Safety, 2019). Fundamentally, near misses occur more frequently, 7-100 times more than actual adverse event (Aspden P, 2004). But, it was found that near misses are infrequently documented and sometimes go unnoticed in daily clinical practice (Lee, 2021) Little attention has been given to near-miss reporting specifically despite their value in organizational learning (Helge Klapper, 2019).

The use of pesticides has increased due to their widespread application in agricultural and environmental pest control. There are thousands of categories of pesticides, each with a specific chemical composition and use. Pesticides form a major farm input with many farmers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) continually applying pesticides to boost their crop production. Some of these pesticides have been banned or restricted but still find their ways into the farmers hands.
