Endodontic management of the immature permanent tooth with an open apex - A Review

The management of immature tooth with an open apex is always a challenge for the endodontist. There is always a difficulty in shaping and cleaning of canals and achieving a proper obturation. Obtaining working length is always difficult in cases of blunderbuss canals. Recently there is a paradigm shift in the management of open apex, There is a possibility of regenerating the pulp tissue in the immature tooth with open apex. Regenerative endodontics is one of the most prospective development in the field of dentistry today.

Prevalence of anemia and associated factors among under five children in bedele hospital, iluababora zone, oromia regional state south weast Ethiopia, 2017

Back ground: Anemia is major health problem throughout the world. The magnitude of the problem in developing countries high, since they are more exposed to various health and socioeconomic problems which are directly or indirectly related with anemia. Though all age groups can develop anemia due to various factors, under-five children and pregnant women are the most vulnerable age groups. The hemoglobin level below which anemia is considered according to WHO criteria is as follows.

Color-matching according to the use of light-curing characterizing materials and composite resin thicknesses

This study aimed to evaluate the ability of light-curing characterizing material sand two thicknesses of composite dentin resin on masking differents dark substrates. 320 composite resin specimens were divided into 6 experimental groups (n=50), which were divided into 5 subgroups (n=10) according to the different characterizing material sand resin coverage thicknesses; and 2 control groups (n=10). The darkened bases were made in laboratory composite resin, in colors DA4, DB4 and DC4.

Tendency of tongue positioning during crying in infants with and without lingual frenulum alteration

The study aimed to verify the interference of lingual frenulum with tongue positioning during crying in infants with normal and altered lingual frenulum. From the administration of the Neonatal Tongue Screening Test (NTST) 641 healthy full-term infants of both genders were diagnosed with or without lingual frenulum alteration at the first month of life. Both groups were included in this study. The tendency of tongue positioning during crying was observed and analyzed in both groups and the Chi-square test was used for the statistical treatment at 5% significance level (p<0,05).

The language of music as a possibility of social criticism: results of a research-action in the context of public schools

This article presents the results of a collaborative research-action carried out at a public school in the city of Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul(RS). The activities carried out aimed to promote the improvement of teaching in the public school, so that the methodology of the research-action was configured as an alternative proposal to carry out a work with the engagement of all involved. The option for this methodology is justified by the fact that it contributes to solve problems in specific contexts, especially in the educational context.
