Analysis of rainfall variation using gis: the ambuliyar watershed, Tamil Nadu, India

Among the climatic elements, the rainfall is the first index, ever thought of by farmers and climatic analysers as it is the most important single factor, which determines the cropping pattern of an area in general, the type of crop to be cultivated and its success or failure in particular. Therefore, the present study deals the rainfall characteristics of the Ambuliyar watershed, which includes the spatial distribution and its variability through different seasons. The study was used 30 years (1984 to 2013) monthly rainfall data for 10 rain gauge stations.

Passengers satisfaction towards railway services with reference to coimbatore junction

The Indian railway is one of the largest and busiest rail network in the world, transporting sixteen million passengers and more than one million tons of freight daily. Extent of teachers’ instructional monitoring for quality teaching and learning in public and private secondary schools in ebonyi state

The main purpose of the study was to determine the extent of teachers’ instructional monitoring for quality teaching and learning in public and private secondary schools in Ebonyi state. One research question and one null hypothesis guided the study. It was a descriptive survey and all the public and private secondary schools in the three education zones in the sate namely: Abakaliki Afikpo and Onueke were covered. The study population constituted a total of 10, 360 whereas the sample was made up of 1036 teachers selected through proportionate random sampling technique.

This study was designed to investigate the influence of gender, parenting style and peer pressure on the adolescents conflicts with parents in Ebonyi State. It is a descriptive survey guided by four research questions and four hypotheses all derived from the purpose of the study. The population of the study consists of all the Senior Secondary School SS2 adolescent students from all the 221 Secondary Schools in Ebonyi State. Using stratified sampling technique, nine (9) schools weredrawn from the entire population, three from each of the Education Zone.

Effect of board characteristics on the performance of listed food and beverages firms in Nigeria

This study examined the Effect of Board Characteristics on the performance of listed food and Beverages firms in Nigeria. The study adopted ex-post facto research design which relied on secondary data collected from the financial statements of thirteen (13) firms out of fourteen (14) listed food and Beverages firms in Nigeria for the period of 2009 to 2015. Correlation and Regression were used to analyse the data. The results indicated that Board Composition and Board size shows significant relationship with Return on Assets of the sampled firms at 10% and 1% respectively.
