The economic prosperity, social welfare and political strength of a nation largely depends on the type of transport and communication it has. Healthy communication system of a state opens up new vistas for economic activity and socio-cultural interaction, which ultimately puts an end to the stagnation and isolation. Colonial Odisha was lamentably very backward in matter of transport and communication.

A survey on the current practice in the use of luting agents for zirconia restorations by general dentists

Aim: The aim of the survey conducted was to evaluate the current practice in the use of luting agents for zirconia restorations by general dentists. Materials and methods: The survey questionnaire consisted of 14 questions aimed towards evaluating the current practice in the use of luting agents for zirconia restorations by general dentists. This questionnaire was validated by a panel of senior prosthodontists and was sent to 1000 dental practitioners in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Effect of spinal mobilization with arm movement in the treatment of cervicobrachial pain syndrome

Study Objectives: To Evaluate the effect of Spinal Mobilization with Arm Movement (SMWAM) and compare its effectiveness with conventional therapy in the treatment of Cervicobrachial pain syndrome. Design: Experimental study. Setting: Subjects were taken from different hospitals and physiotherapy clinics in Bengaluru. Methods: Informed consent will be obtained from the subjects. The total duration of the study was for 4 weeks. The treatment session was of 3 days per week for the total 4 weeks. i.e. 12 sessions.

Bibliometric study on 20 years of the evaluation of eco-efficiency in managing public works, based on the life cycle management

Eco-efficiency has stood out as an important innovative practice, linked to sustainable development, already practiced in the private sector and with a deep need for application in the public sector. Based on this context, the objective of this study is to map, by means of a bibliometric methodology, the eco-efficiency assessment theme in public works based on the management of the life cycle in the scientific literature, between the years 1996 and October 2017. Research activities indexed by the SCOPUS database and analyzed with the support of VOS viewer software have been collected.

The 2017 quadrennial assessment of interdisciplinary professional master’s programs in Brazil: achievements and challenges

The aim is to examine the criteria of the 2017 Quadrennial Assessment of Professional Master’s Programs in the Interdisciplinary Area in Brazil. The content collected in the document research was systematized into three categories: the composition of the assessment criteria; the participation of students in academic and technical productions; and the dedication of professors to the programs. Based on Vergara’s methodological steps, we described the results obtained in each category and interpreted the data in the light of the theoretical-conceptual support.

Corporate investment grade

The hausa – mbororo women’s household and commercial activities in north west Cameroon: a historical investigation

The Hausa and Mbororo women found in the North West Region of Cameroon migrated from Northern Nigeria alongside their male counterparts in the 18th and 19th centuries. By the early 20th century, they had arrived and settled in the North West Region. While the Hausa and Mbororo men were busy trading and grazing their animals, the women were more engaged with their household economy. Two types of families existed among the Hausa and Mbororo Communities, namely the nuclear and extended families.

Effectiveness of a commercial symbiotic in an experimental model of ulcerative colitis

To verify the effects of a commercial symbiotic in an experimental model of ulcerative colitis. For this, male Wistar rats (5 weeks old) were used. The induction of Ulcerative Colitis was performed via intracolonic route with trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS) (10mg TNBS/0.75ml ethanol/50%). The animals were distributed in: sham, treated with ultrapure water (CT); colitis, treated with ultrapure water (TNBS CT); colitis, treated with mesalazine (TNBS MES); and colitis, treated with the symbiotic (TNBS SYM).
