In the 19th century, Gratiolet created the term plis de passage, which was mapped by the neurosurgeon Jean Regis to describe gyri that were interconnected and anatomically covered by main sulci. Besides, Cunningham characterized the plis de passage, which binds the precentral gyrus, associated to the hand´s primary motor area, and the postcentral gyrus, associated to the hand´s somatosensory area, having become a subject of interest with the advent of imaging tests.

Innovation in companies is directly related to investment in Research and Development and to the formalization of their Intellectual Property. At the same time, it also tends to be related to organizational performance and value in the market. In view of this, this work consists of a systematic review of the international literature regarding the relationship between intellectual property (patents, brands, software, among others), an important indicator of innovation, and its effects on organizational performance. Scopus and Web of Science databases were consulted.

A paracoccidioidomicose (PCM) configura-se uma importante micose sistêmica, de grande representatividade no Brasil. Embora seja um país endêmico para a doença, observa-se ainda grande dificuldade para diagnóstico precoce, tratamento oportuno e acompanhamento adequado dos indivíduos acometidos. O atraso no diagnóstico da doença além de permitir o agravamento da mesma, pode ainda levar a tratamentos equivocados, gerando prejuízos aos indivíduos acometidos, e aos serviços de saúde.

A indução do trabalho de parto é realizada através da utilização de métodos ou medicamento com intuito de fazer com que o trabalho de parto tenha início, sendo utilizada quando há indicação. Objetivou-se avaliar os resultados da indução do parto e seus desfechos maternos/fetais.Trata-se de um estudo observacional, descritivo, transversal, de abordagem quantitativa realizado com puérperas assistidas em um hospital maternidade de referência no Espírito Santo.

Objetivo: Estimar a prevalência e os fatores associados à Lesão por Fricção entre idosos da comunidade. Método: estudo transversal descritivo, que incluiu idosos de 60 a 96 anos, com coleta de dados ocorreu entre outubro de 2018 e março de 2019 realizada por entrevistas semiestruturadas e exame físico. O banco de dados foi construído no Microsoft Excel® para Windows® e os dados analisados por meio do software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences versão 21.0®.

Introduction: Infant mortality is death in children under the age of one year, including neonatal (up to 27 days) and post-neonatal (from 28 to 364 days) mortality, and is so important that it is among the goals of the Organization's Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Objective: The study aimed to understand the main causes of infant mortality in the Northern region of Brazil.

This study aimed to investigate the possible processes of vulnerability and vulneration of adolescents, involving sexual and reproductive health. It is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, carried out in a public school, in the municipality of Macapá / Amapá. The study subjects were students aged 18 to 19 years, totaling 27 students, interviewed in August and September 2019.

Introdução: No início do ano de 2020, uma nova pandemia se espalhou rapidamente pelo mundo: a Covid-19. A Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) declarou, em 30 de janeiro de 2020, que o surto da Covid-19 era uma emergência de saúde pública e a caracterizou como uma pandemia. No mundo, houve 200.840.180 casos confirmados de covid-19, incluindo 4.265.903 mortes notificadas à OMS. Dessa forma, torna-se importante conhecer os serviços de saúde que prestam assistência às pessoas acometidas pela covid-19.

Trata-se de um artigo teórico de reflexão cujo objetivo foi refletir sobre a importância do Projeto Político Pedagógico (PPP) a partir da perspectiva da Pedagogia Universitária trazendo elementos que possam contribuir com a dinâmica formativa dos cursos mediante a organização dos PPP e sua real e contextual aplicabilidade frente a contextos emergentes. O PPP pode ser entendido como o instrumento norteador, ou seja, o elemento rizomático e epistemológico de toda a organização do trabalho pedagógico.

To analyze the level of knowledge and expectations of patients who underwent corneal transplantation for keratoconus. An analytical cross-sectional observational study with a quantitative approach was carried out. Data were obtained through the application of questionnaires with patients undergoing corneal transplantation for keratoconus. Most patients had moderate knowledge and knew why the transplant was indicated. More than 59% of the population admitted that the surgery exceeded their expectations.
