Activities to promote health at work environment: an experience report

Health education is an important tool for developing health promotion in the work environment, valuing and contributing to the quality of life and health of workers. This work aimed to describe the experience in health promotion activities. This is a descriptive study, of the experience-report type about the activities of health promotion of federal government workers in the period from January 2016 to December 2018. Eighty-seven health promotion activities were carried out, highlighting health-focused wheels of conversations, lectures and workshops.

Diabetic foot is considered one of the complications of diabetes mellitus, with severe clinical repercussions that can cause significant impairment of the quality of life of people with this condition. In view of this, the objective was to identify the psychosocial and economic problems of the individual with diabetic foot that lead to compromised quality of life. It is an integrative review of the literature, carried out in the Virtual Health Library, fromjuly to september 2019, using the descriptors: "Diabetic foot" and "Quality of life".

A distribuição de medicamentos na Atenção Básica à Saúde (ABS) é parte integrante do processo de cura, da reabilitação, da prevenção de doença, do tratamento, do diagnóstico e redução de danos. A ausência de medicamento pode agravar o estado clínico do paciente, assim interrompendo ou promovendo início tardio do tratamento, com isso sobrecarregando outros setores do SUS, gerando mais custo e impactos negativos na qualidade de vida do paciente e para a comunidade.

Major considerations on the use of plasma in eye aesthetics and the potential association with platelet rich plasma and coenzyme q10

The anatomy of the human face is complex. Particularly thin skin, elasticity and tone of the ligaments are also key. In this sense, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains numerous growth factors responsible for its effectiveness. Plasma is more uniform than ablative resurfacing lasers, including carbon dioxide (CO2) resurfacing lasers, as it does not depend on interaction with a particular target. In addition, as a potentiating and catalyzing effect, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a natural constituent of food and is also often used in foods and functional supplements.

A hipótese é que precisamos conviver com amigos e sermos valorizados como pessoa para nos tornamos socialmente ajustados e felizes. O objetivoé apresentar a importância do amigo e da preciosidade da pessoa como indivíduo singular e de sua formação ética para que reconheça em si e no outro, sua beleza divina. A proposta é responderàs seguintes questões: Como a formação ética é importante para aprendermos o valor da pessoa?

A descriptive study on caregivers knowledge regarding homecare needs of stroke patients in a selected Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab

Stroke is one of the main Non-Communicable Disease of public health. It is a global problem of enormous proportion. Stroke is becoming a major cause of premature deaths and disability in developing countries. It has been found that a considerable number of stroke patients will survive from five to ten years after initial incident of stroke. Furthermore, one-fifth of stroke survivors require long term care. Stroke survivors need intensive long term home-care and assistance in their (ADL) Activities of Daily Living from family members, close friends or paid attendant.

Epidemiological profile of patients with acute myocardial infarction: a literary review

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI), also known as a "heart attack", consists of necrosis of the heart muscle resulting from ischemia. Objective: The objective of this study was to identify the epidemiological profile of individuals affected by AMI. Methodology: The method used was the integrative literature review (RIL) of quantitative and descriptive approach with data collection in the database on the platforms: Lilacs, Medline and Scielo. Results: A total of eleven articles that met the pre-established inclusion criteria were analyzed in this RIL.

Long-term outcomes of switching to aflibercept for treatment-resistant neovacular age-related macular degeneration

The authors are commenting on the study entitled “Long-term outcomes of switching to aflibercept for treatment-resistant neovascular age-related macular degeneration” published by Spooner et al. in Acta Ophthalmologica 2019;97(5):e706-e7012. The conclusion of this study was that aflibercept was an effective alternative therapy for treatment-resistant active, chronic neovascular age-related macular degeneration.

Kaposi sarcoma in people living with Hiv/Aids: clinical and histopathological aspects of cutaneous lesions of patients attended at a reference University Hospital in Amazon region

Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) corresponds to a systemic malignant and multifocal disease with a distinct clinical course, most commonly associated with Human immunodeficiency (HIV). Case series study to describe the clinical forms and histopathological changes of cutaneous lesions in patients with Kaposi's sarcoma and HIV coinfection at reference university hospital in Amazon region, from 2014-2017. From 20 individuals, 95% were male, mostly composed of young adults (35.1 years). Time of serological diagnosis: 11.67months and a skin lesion time: 11.47months.

Macrodystrophia lipomatosa: A case report

Lipomatous macrositrophy, also known as macrodactyly, is a rare congenital condition of overgrowth of bone structures. Its diagnosis requires a close relationship with clinical, histopathological and imaging data, in order to rule out other possible causes of macrodactyly, in addition to tumors and malformations. The present report describes a 31-year-old patient, with continuous growth of the 3rd and 4th fingers of the left hand, alleging nervous, motor changes and a strong influence on the biopsychosocial aspect.
