The analysis of the latest trends of threats to different types of attacks adequately reflects the radical changes over the last three or four years in the landscape of cyber-threat protection. The conventional network protection tools such as penetration detection and anti-virus focusing on the risk vulnerability component and traditional incident response methodology have become inadequate for certain players due to the evolution of the goals and complexity of the entry of computer networks.

Study of appropriateness of turbo-matching of a58n75 and a58n72 turbochargers for a commercial vehicle engine

The Turbocharger is a charge booster for internal combustion engines to ensure best engine performance at all speeds and road conditions especially at the higher load.  Random selection of turbocharger may lead to negative effects like surge and choke in the breathing of the engine. Appropriate selection or match of the turbocharger (Turbo-matching) is a tedious task and expensive. But perfect match gives many distinguished advantages and it is a onetime task per the engine kind. This study focuses to match the turbocharger to desired engine by simulation and on road test.

Application of mesh for a supermesh analysis method

Any circuit however big or small, liner or non-linear, ohmic or non-ohmic follow Kirchhoff’s current law (KCL) and Kirchhoff’s voltage law (KVL), using these laws along with some other techniques to determine the currents and voltages in a given circuit. Supermesh is applied, if current source is common to more than one mesh current. In this paper, for a given circuit, suggesting an alternative method for supermesh. The alternative method is applicable for planar circuit. The circuit is redrawn such that the current source is not being common for more than one mesh current .i.e.

Enhancing the efficiency of solar cells using silver nano particles

Present day solar cell industry is completely dominated by the use of silicon as the active material. Silicon material is used to manufacture solar cells due to its low cost, abundance in nature, non-toxicity, long term stability, and well established technology. Enhancing the efficiency of silicon solar cells by nanoparticles has become a new trend in solar cell technology. Recently a new method for increasing the light absorption has emerged by the use of scattering from noble metal nanoparticles excited at their surface plasmon resonance.

An examınatıon of grıp strength and arm angles of elite level of tennıs players wıth relatıon to theır sports

Aim: The purpose of this study is; to investigate the relationship between the grip strength and some of arm angles of university tennis players with the age of the sport and to investigate the effect of sporting age on grip strength performance. Material and Methods: 40 female and 50 male volunteer tennis players attending the Turkish Universities Tennis Championships organized in Marmaris in 2016 participated the research as subject. The grip strengths of the subjects were tested with three maximal repetitions with dominant and non-dominant hand with Takai brand hand dynamometer.

Determination of mercury in acid gas treatment process and its environmental impacts

Mercury occurs naturally in unprocessed hydrocarbon streams, which can damage the equipment and contaminate the treatment fluids as well as pose a health risk to workers and the environment. Mercury was determined in all stream fluids for sweetening process (Benfield solution process) and composition analysis also determined to evaluate the performance of the process. Fourteen samples were collected from natural gas, Benfield solution, water, sludge and solid samples. Mercury was measured on-site for gas streams using cold vapor atomic absorption (CV-AAS) technique.

Valuation of the frequency of cardiovascular brain events in hypertensive patients with and without blood pressure control

Introduction: Introduction: Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) is the main factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). HBP is a clinical condition that involves many factors characterized by elevated and sustained blood pressure (BP) levels. Objective: to evaluate the frequency of cardiovascular brain events in hypertensive patients who control or not blood pressure. Methods: a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out in which the frequency of cardiovascular brain events in hypertensive patients with and without BP control was evaluated.

Use of rice husk supplemented with watermelon residue for the production of lignocellulolytic enzymes by pleurotus ostreatus

The post - harvest residue of rice (Oryza sativa) and watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) in the state of Tocantins, mainly in the region of Formoso do Araguaia, where the highest production of these products in the state is concentrated, may serve as a substrate for obtaining hydrolytic enzymes and oxidative stresses involved in the degradation of lignocellulosic materials by Pleurotus ostreatus grown in solid state.

Shape memory polymers and shape memory alloys: use in smart textiles

Smart textiles can be defined as materials that perceive and respond to an external stimulus. Interest in smart textiles has increased significantly in the academic area in recent years. As shape memory textiles respond to external stimuli (heat, light, electricity etc.), they are examined as a branch of smart textiles. Shape memory polymers (SMP) and alloys (SMA) can be used in various textile applications. In this study, general properties of shape memory alloys and polymers as well as the differences between these two materials have been mentioned.

Characterization of casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate based products with and without sodium fluoride

Aim: The aim of this paper was to characterize the active ingredients of ACP remineralizing pastes MI PasteTM and MI Paste PlusTM. Materials and Method: Two CPP-ACP containing products MI PasteTM and MI Paste PlusTM with addition of 900ppm sodium fluoride (NaF) supplied by GC America Inc. were evaluated. The free fluoride content of MIPaste PlusTM was quantified using a fluoride ion selective electrode (Orion 9609BN, 710A meter, South Burlington, VT, USA). 1.50 g of MI Paste PlusTM was dissolved thoroughly in 100 ml de-ionized water. Samples were prepared in duplicate.
