Phased array ultrasonic evaluation of ultra high strength steel weldments for aerospace applications

Ultra high strength steels viz. Maraging 250 grade steel, that are used for realising rocket motor casings have a tendency to undergo brittle fracture in the presence of cracks.  Thus, it becomes imperative to resort to fracture mechanics for determination of critical crack sizes that could cause a catastrophic structural failure.  The flaw sizes that are characterised as critical are then taken as the minimum detectable flaws for NDT. Ultrasonic NDT is an effective method to detect small tight cracks available in weldments.

Antibacterial and photo catalytic activity of pomegranate rind extract doped tio2 nanoparticles by sol-gel method

Metal oxides  exhibits extraordinary properties  like hydrophobic nature and high energy band gap, hence it can be used in different types of applications such as in solar cell, photo catalysis, charge spreading devices, chemical sensors, microelectronics, electrochemistry, antibacterial products and textiles in the nano level due to their high surface to volume ratio. Generally various synthesis techniques are available to prepare TiO2nanoparticles. In this present paper synthesis of TiO2nanoparticles were focused using Green synthesis using pomegranate rind extract as one of precursor.

Complex creep compliance moduli of polymer material under force harmonic loading at the different amplitude, temperature and frequency

Viscoelastic properties of polymeric materials are of fundamental importance to understand their mechanical behaviour, especially dealing with dynamic and vibration problems. In the present research, the generalized and modified yield theory of Goldberg constitutive model is used to predict the time dependent inelastic response of polymer materials.

Electroless co-p coated nanocenosphere /polymer/filler composite for emi shielding effectiveness

Due to the increasing development of many types of communication technologies, the unnecessary impacts of electromagnetic radiations on humans and electronic systems are increasing. Therefore it is very essential to decrease the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and its effect on humans, instruments and electronic devices. In the present study, Electroless Cobalt Phosphorous alloy (Co-P) Coated Nanocenosphere / polymer/filler Composites has been proposed for their EMI shielding Effectiveness.

Brand image model: analysis of crm quality and it performance quality

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Banking Customer Relationship Management Quality (Quality CRM) and Information Technology (IT) Performance Quality against both partially Brand Image and simultaneously at PT. Bank Mandiri Jakarta Bintaro Jaya Unit 1. Unit analysis of micro credit borrowers study, the sample population of 558 and 89 customers with slovin techniques. The method of analysis with quantitative analysis.

Effectiveness of computer-based instruction: An analysis by gender

This study was designed to explore the instructional potential of a Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) program in the teaching of probability concepts to form three mathematics curriculum in selected secondary schools in Kenya.  Specifically, the study reported herein sought to determine whether there was a statistically significant difference by gender on students exposed to the computer based instruction in terms of the students’ achievement, their perception of the learning environment, and their attitudes and motivation during the instructional process in the area of probability.

Achievement test and academic performance in mathematics of second year high school students in the division of Zambales, Philippines

The study aimed to determine the performance of twelve thousand six hundred twenty-six(12,626) second year students of selected high schools in the Division of Zambales in the National, Regional and Division Achievement Tests in relation to academic performance in Mathematics during the school year 2005-2006 to 2009-2010.The descriptive research design was used in the documentary analysis of the National, Regional, and Division Achievement Test results, and the Academic Grades obtained from the Division Office of the Department of Education.

Civil and environmental engineering in wireless sensors existing in efficiency criteria used in group1 and group2

This WSN applications for civil and environmental engineering first of all deals with monitoring condition of the objects created by human, as well as the environmental objects. For a researcher these applications are interesting first of all because of a great number of various types of sensors used, and also because of variety of places where it is necessary to implement a network.

In vitro bioaccumulation metabolic studies of heavy metals by aquatic duck weed lemna polyrrhiza L. (lemnaceae)

In vitro experiments on chromium, copper, lead and zinc heavy metals bioaccumulation using duck weed Lemna polyrrhiza L. (Lemnaceae) was conducted with 5, 10 and 20 mg/100 ml concentrations for a period of 20 days. The SEM-EDX results revealed the bioaccumulation of lead as high as 20.91% followed by copper 9.71%, zinc 5.66% and chromium 1.86%. There was a change in the pH of the medium, the bioaccumulation of metals were confirmed by FTIR analysis involved in the binding characteristics of alcoholic, phenolic, amino and amides groups in the biomass.

Modelling dependency structural of the wind energy in Lebanon

For several decades, wind power is experiencing tremendous growth, however, the production of wind energy depends on wind intensity, strongly volatile, and is therefore characterized by a high degree of uncertainty. Planning the installation of a wind farm for several stations requires the assessment of the risk which in turn results in an assessment of the variability in production. Longevity, it starts with the recognition of the links between the various stations.
