Destruction of weeds grown in pots using the hot foam method

Generally, weed control is conducted in the form of hoeing or chemical control. Hoeingis difficult and performed using manpower; on the other hand, chemical control has harmful effects on the environment. In this study, the hot foam application was employed as a method for weed control. For this method, first a hot foam machine with a digital indicator was produced. Wild oats (Avena fatua), English ryegrass (Lolium perenne), and wild clover (Medicago sativa) were separately planted in three control pots and in three hot foam application pots.

Technology development framework for Ghana: The role of technical and research institutions

This paper, focused on developing a framework for the manufacturing of technologies for local industry in Africa using Ghana as the case sought to identify causes of technology underdevelopment in Ghana. Ghana’s industrialisation efforts have been faced with persistent failures despite the large acquisition of capital-intensive technologies and, in a broader scope, the historic narrative of Africa’s technology lag, accounting for the rudimentary state of its indigenous technologies. In this view, this study took a cautious approach in its methodology.

Fuzzy synchronization of the 3D chaotic systems using belbic

This paper presents fuzzy model-based designs for synchronization of new chaotic system. The T–S fuzzy models for new chaotic systems are exactly derived. Then utilizing an intelligent controller which based on brain emotional learning (BELBIC), this fuzzy chaotic system is synchronized. Numerical simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Proximate, mineral, amino acid composition and mineral safety index of Callinectes latimanus

The proximate, mineral and amino acid compositions as well as mineral safety index (MSI) of Callinectes latimanus were determined on dry weight basis. In the proximate values, crude fat was lowest at 0.87 g/100 g whereas carbohydrate was highest at 46.2 g/100 g but crude fibre was not detected. In the total energy contribution, carbohydrate value contribution was 68.7 % but only 2.82 % from crude fat. In the minerals composition, the following were highly concentrated: Ca, Mg, K, Na and P; Se, Pb, Zn, Mn, Co and Cu were low in values whereas Fe was moderately concentrated.

E-waste management and handling in India: Modeling of enablers (drivers) using an interpretive structural modeling (ISM)

The aim of this article is to analyze the interaction of various enablers (drivers) in management and handling of e-waste in India, which paves the way for an efficient e-waste management either by effective recycling/reuse or through safe and secure disposal for sustainable development. After review of literature on e-waste management in India and other countries, major driving factors of e-waste management have been identified.

Defending inimitable attacking Hostin web-proxy based traffic

A novel server side defense system is proposed to resist web proxy based attack. A proxy server is a server that may be a computer system or an application that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. A client unite with the proxy server, appealing some service, such as a file, connectivity, web page accessing, or other appropriate resources available from a different server and the proxy server evaluates the request as a way to simplify and control its complexity.

Theoretical investigations on the elastic properties of CaSiO3 by EOS

The elastic properties of CaSiO3 are calculated as a function of temperature using different equations of state (EOS). Equations of state have been used to study pressure as a function of volume compression at a given temperature. The EOS’s for solids under low compression by evaluating the pressure-volume derivative properties viz., isothermal bulk modulus and its pressure derivatives calculated for CaSiO3. The elastic moduli such as Bulk modulus, Shear modulus, Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio have been calculated as a function of pressure.

Minimizing space using victorian representation by creating word clustring

For transmission of information to be reliable we establish a communication via ATC (Automatic Text Categorization) scheme. The dimensioned document representation space which is redundant turn’s problematic in many criteria’s. The purpose of a paper to eliminate the disadvantage by brute force association rules and Gaussian assumption which minimizes (reduces) space by compression and using Victorian representation creating cluster of word for easy search.

Acoustical studies on molecular interactions in binary liquid systems

Molecular interaction studies using ultrasonic technique in binary liquid mixtures of amino acids with NaCl and MgCl2 have been carried out at 303.15K.Using the measured values of ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity, acoustical parameters and their excess values are evaluated. From the properties of these excess parameters the nature and strength of the interactions in these binary systems are discussed.

The potential ability of liposome to treat cancer disease

Since 1965s when the scientists discovered liposome, the nanomedicine world became more innovative, progressive and more researches have been done to develop liposomes. Therefore, one of the most important aim of liposome is to reduce the toxicity and side effects which is caused by traditional cancer treatments. As a result to manipulating the liposome during formulation, it can result a less toxicity of the healthy tissue to diseased tissues, Because of the features of the liposome such as the targeting tissue, small size, and biodegradability.
