The properties of feldspathic dental porcelain from Tanzanian aluminosilicate materials

Kaolin and quartz from Pugu and feldspar from Morogoro were used to produce feldspathic dental porcelain bodies. Mineralogical results from XRD revealed the presence of kaolinite, illite, microcline and clinochlore in the kaolin samples; albite, microcline, sanidine in the feldspar samples and only silica in the quartz samples. The chemical results studies by XRF revealed the presence of BaO, SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, Cr2O3, MnO, K2O, CaO, Cl, SO3, MgO, Na2O, and Fe2O3 in varying proportions.

Wastewater treatment and management in rural areas - a case study of Rajouri District, Jammu and Kashmir, India

The study area where the wastewater treatment is proposed is Rajouri in Jammu And Kashmir State. The growth of population at a faster rate, lack of education, poverty especially in rural areas has polluted the environment to a great extent. Here the paper gives the details about the population of the area, the drainage details, the water supply details and the ground water quality In this paper it has been tried to explain as how we can treat wastewater in rural areas by proposing a wastewater treatment process.

Microcontroller based water purifier controller system in ZIGBEE technology

In normal colleges and office campus different types of water cooler systems are being employed. The problem with these water coolers is that the absolute temperature of water set inside the container is not maintained properly and there is no fault indication system. Though the students pay for all these facilities but they do suffer from not having the guaranteed cold water by the authorities and moreover there is no complaining. The aim of this project is to automatically control the temperature of cold water in cooling system.

ARM 7 based voice controlled wheelchair and patient monitoring system using GSM

This paper describes about the controlling of wheelchair by means of human voice and patient monitoring using GSM. In earlier, people use joysticks to control the powered wheelchairs. Wheelchairs with the standard joystick interface are unable to control by many people. Speech recognition is a prominent technology which can give an alternative, people to interact with machines especially those who are quadriplegics. We have resolved the disabled problems by implementing voice control interfacing, over a microphone for the wheelchair.

The influence of grain size and calcination conditions on the compressive strength of the Mahina lime- rich brick clays

Lime-rich clays from Mahina, Northwest part of Tanzania were used in this work. Chemical analysis showed that Mahina clays contain considerable amounts of CaO (16.25%) and CaCO3 (25.41%). Mineralogical characterization of raw materials was done by XRD and DTA both of which revealed the presence of kaolinite, montimorillonite, quartz, calcite, feldspar and minor accessories. Bricks constructed from different grain size (63, 125, 300, 450 and 600 μm) were each calcined at 950 oC for 30 and 60 minutes. New phases identified were Gehlenite, wollastonite, anorthite and calcium aluminate.

Effects of aerobic and anaerobic training on stroke volume responses to active stress

The study was proposed to examine the changes on stroke volume responses to active stress with aerobic and anaerobic training among untrained male university students. Forty-five untrained male university students, in the age group of twenty to twenty-five years were selected as participants, and they were segregated into three groups namely: control, aerobic and anaerobic training groups. The duration of experimentation period was restricted to twelve weeks and the frequency of training was thrice a week.

Changes in lung volumes during a periodized training year of handball players

The aim of the current study was to assess the changes in lung volumes during a periodized training year of handball players. The subjects employed in the present study were fourteen male handball players. Testing took place at four points during the periodized training year; at the beginnings of general preparation (T1), specific preparation (T2), and competition phase beginning (T3) end of competition phases of training and peaking (T4).

Studies of nickel and copper-coated cenosphere-polymer composites for electromagnetic interference shielding

Recently, electronic devices such as televisions, office automated appliances, computers, etc., have been using housing as a shield to reduce Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). Polymer housing is conductive and increases the shielding effectiveness. This study involves preparing polymer-composites and determining their effectiveness as EMI-shielding materials. Non-conductive, hollow, spherical, fly-ash cenosphere particles (45-100 μm) have been used for electroless surface-coating with nickel and copper in order to make them electrically conductive.

Review about EEG

Electroencephalography (EEG) is an emerging signal in biosignals. It can indicate the electrical activity of brain. Consequently, it can be applied to biosignals acquisition systems to reduce the data rate to realize risk factors and diagnosis performance. They are highly process in nature and it also contains useful information about the brain state. In this review, I have discussed about diseases such as dementia, brain tumor, stoke through EEG signal. Determination of EEG diseases causes, types and treatments. These review also perhaps the EEG diseases in detail.

Empirical study on risk analysis in security testing

Testing is the process of detecting errors present in a system with the given sample input. Risk is the vulnerability associated with the system and the type of testing which uncovers it is called security testing. Risk analysis is the process of determining the level of risk with the available information. Risk-based testing comprises of risk analysis, which is a part of model based testing and involves risk assessment. Risk analysis and security testing can be combined in two ways namely: Risk-driven Security Testing (RST) and Test-driven Security Risk (TSR) analysis.
