The effect of communicative language teaching (clt) through small group discussion on students’ reading comprehension and writing ability for senior high school

The purpose of this research is to find out the significant effect of using CLT through Small Group Discussion on students’ reading and writing skills for Senior High School level in Kampar regency of Riau province..It was carried out by using a quasi-experimental design. The research participants were the tenth-grade students that consisted of 72 students divided into two classes, namely an experimental group and a control group. In the process of data collection, pre-test, post-test and observation were used.

Survival of medically treated beta Thalassaemia patients in Sri Lanka (2000 – 2017)

Beta thalassaemia is what is called an inherited disease due to abnormal hemoglobin production. It’s not an infectious disease. Near to 3,500 patients with beta thalassaemia lives in Sri Lanka. The survival measures and factors that affect to survival thalassaemia patients in Sri Lanka is unclear. Therefore, this study was mainly performed to determine the statistical analyze on survival of the beta thalassaemia patients in Sri Lanka. Relevant data were collected from Hemals thalassaemia care unit in Ragama hospital during the time period between 2000 and 2017.

Mutual index fund and exchange traded funds: a comparative study

This research paper compares the performance of two competitive financial instrument available to indian investors namely ETFs and Index fund, with the perspective different parameters like return, performance effectiveness, expense ratio, tracting ability etc and investment behaviour of investor. Role of pretend play on pre- school children’s holistic development in homa bay sub county

Play has found little, if any acceptance in most of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers in Homa Bay Sub -County. The purpose of this study therefore was to determine the influence of pretend play on pre-school children’s holistic development. The study employed correlation research design. Two sets of questionnaires were used to gather information from the Managers/Head teachers and Pre-School teachers while an observation checklist was used to establish the presence of pretend play materials and their use in learning.

Innovation in higher education: Diffusion of democracy in education

The present study is a focus on the importance of democracy in education. The paper discusses the need for utilizing democracy in the educational practices. The study is a qualitative case study. Data were collected using interviews, classrooms observations and fieldnotes. The present study examines the conceptions of three participants, university lecturers who were chosen from three faculties, on the role of democracy in education. Additionally, the paper presents the impact of the lecturers' conceptions on their practices in classrooms.

Awareness about nosocomial infections amongnurses in omdurman teaching Hospital October 2017

Physicians, nurses and health care workers are exposed to hospitals for long duration which increases their risk of acquiring infections. Infection control practices are geared towards reduction of occurrence and transmission of infectious diseases. Hundreds of millions of patients are affected b y Hospital- acquired infection(HAI). Nurses have a critical role to play in prevention measures and infection control and they should have the opportunity for continuous professional development.

Background: Ectopic pregnancy is a serious and common universal emergency in clinical practice and remain a major medical and surgical problem. Objectives: To evaluate the causes of the ectopic pregnancy and managing there in a perfect way to decrease the morbidity and mortality of the patients. Objectives: To evaluate the experiences and expectations of patients and caregivers in MS coping, to identify the impact profile in caregivers and patients with MS. Method: Exploratory research with a qualitative approach. The sample was comprehensive, including all subjects with MS and their main caregivers registered in the IX Regional Health Management of Paraíba / Brazil.

Tourism and local development: Analysis of environmental sustainability in porto seguro, bahia, Brazil

The objective of this article is to analyze the environmental sustainability of the tourism in Bahia, Brazil, taking as reference the locality of Porto Seguro. The environmental aspect is inserted once the tourism developed in this destination is strongly associated with the natural landscape. For that, field survey was used and carried out from May 4 to 20, 2016, when 41 managers of the companies that operate in the hosting sector were interviewed.
