Perceived relation of human capital development and poverty alleviation in Nigeria (1970-2016): A linear probability model approach

This study examined the relationship between human capital development and poverty alleviation in Nigeria. Specifically the study investigated the profile of poverty in Nigeria in the wake of human capital investment drive, education and health expenditures on poverty level. A Linear Probability Model (LPM) Regression approach were employed with data from 1970 to 2016 and a cross sectional data of 365 respondents in north central-Nigeria (Kogi and Niger states and Abuja FCT).

Listening factors on english language comprehension among grade 7 of father saturninourios University, Philippines

The study aimed to know the listening comprehension factors on learning English language of Grade 7 students at Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU), Butuan City, Philippines. The socio-economic profile of the participants and the listening levels such as content, critical, and appreciative were sought. It presented the participants’ listening comprehension factors that determine their listening level for learning English language such as listening to English programs on TV, adequacy of listening instruction, and engaging in interaction using English language as medium.

Design of leadership style, organizational culture, motivation to lecturer performance university of batam, Indonesia

The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the Determination of Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Work Motivation on Work Performance of the University of Batam. The research method used is survey method with causal technique because of determination of some variable to Lecturer Performance. The population is Lecturer at the University of Batam and the number 114 Lecturers. The sample size was 114 lecturers with the sampling technique used by the census.

The spatio-temporal distribution of periodic banana markets in meru county, Kenya

The spatio-temporal distribution of markets can influence the farmer’s choice of a market channel. Assessing the effects of the spatio-temporal distribution of banana markets on the farmer’s choice of a marketing channel is important in providing information that may guide rural planners and developers. This study examined the pattern of distribution of banana markets in space and time, and its effects on farmers’ choice of market channel in Meru County, Kenya. The authors obtained data from field observations, measurements and questionnaires administered to 384 banana farmers.

Waqf administration in khiva khanate: theory and practice (xix – early of xx centuries)

The paper is devoted to historical activities of waqf administration of religious and social foundations in Khiva khanate. It was analyzed the legal aspects of waqf and its implementation by the example of these foundations. In particular, the function, rights and obligations of trustee who was the in charge of management of waqf assets and supervision of particular institution were examined.

Competitive performance of brazilian soybean exporter agro-industry in the period 2000 to 2016

The objective of this study was to analyze the competitive performance of soybean processing agro-industry based in Brazil during the period from 2000 to 2017, in order to demonstrate the Brazilian competitive capacity to expand markets and to remain a leader in the oilseed market. For this, the methodology used was to measure indicators such as Market Share and the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index. The database was obtained from the United States Department of Agriculture. The results showed that the soybean production chain in Brazil increased during the analyzed period.

Measuring the health and population dimensions based on sustainability approach

Indicators related to Health and Population represents the progress or regresses toward a goal, and they are considered as resource of perception, phenomenon and trend. Indicators can be used to guide public planning and management. The performance of indicators has an important role in determining the applicability and efficacy on municipality management, in public sphere. Indicators set contribute to the strategic monitoring and should be based on a accurate analysis and meaning at every stage of development indicators.

Technological innovation and environmental degradation have been prime agents for the existence and altering of social systems, historically world over. If latter provides basic resources for survival and sustenance and builds essential link between man and nature for human existence; the other provides tools (machines, industries etc) with which to exploit resources for the same by earning livelihood (central to work).

Dramatari arja at radio republik indonesia (rri) denpasar, bali, Indonesia

Dramatariarja dance is one of classic drama tari or traditional theatrical dance that is favored by Balinese in Indonesia. Dramatari arjais known to Balinese as arja. This research aims to describe and analyze the script discourse that is read by the drama characters on the stage. Two plays were chosen as the main subjects of the research, namely, Payuk Prungpung and Rareangon. The result of this research exhibits that significances given to character discourse of Payuk Prungpung and Rareangon are based on semiotic theory proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure.
