In the developing countries, the acute problem of slum formation is found not only in the big cities but also in medium and small cities and towns "A slum is a contiguous settlement where the inhabitants are characterized as having inadequate housing and basic services”-. Because of the high, proportion of slum dwellers among the urban population, the problems of urban poverty areas are of particular concern. In most of the municipal areas proper up-to-date maps of slums along with proper database and genesis of its growth are not available which create problem in developmental process.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of librarians’ research status and some solutions for enhancing the research capacity of librarians in Library and Information Centre, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hochiminh city, Vietnam
Methodology – A survey is conducted with some librarians at the Library and Information Centre, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hochiminh city.

This study was aimed to identify and review evidence in respect of the process of development for children from birth up to the age of five. There is abundant research that highlights the significance of children’s play in natural space. Natural environment provide rich settings to support children’s play drives, affording a diversity of possibilities for play behaviours. Such play experiences fulfill their biological potential for connection and affiliation with the natural world.

The Movement poetry aims at downright realism. The wide-ranging attitudes of the people and the writers during the time were anti-romantic and anti-imperialistic. The sudden crumple of British Imperialism to a third rate power, disillusioned and disenchanted the entire population of England. The standard of English people became very low and commercial consumerism prevailed in English society. Larkin was committed to a realistic portrayal of life and the actual condition of life in England. Therefore, his poems were very critical and realistic at the same time.

The present paper highlights the micro-finance & evaluates the position of micro-finance. The concept of microfinance is not new in India. Traditionally, people have saved with and taken small loans from individuals and groups within the context of self-help to start businesses or farming ventures. Majority of poor are excluded from financial services. Micro finance is a programme to support the poor rural people to pay its debt and maintain social and economic status in the villages. Micro-finance is an important tool for improving the standard of living of poor.

This study discussed the importance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to an economy. It examined the issues regarding financial opportunities availability and their influence on capital structure. The purpose was to find out whether financial opportunities existed in the study areas and to identify the extent to which these finances affect the MSMEs capital structure decisions. This research employed both quantitative and qualitative methods.

This paper is based on online retailing in India. It represents the positive and negative expression of Indian consumers. Though India has witnessed the rapid growth in the field of technology and communication but when the matter of online payments Indian consumer still has some dissonance and fear. In this research qualitative as well as quantitative analysis has been made to identify the key factors that affect the Indian consumer in making online purchase. The questionnaire has been made in the manner to locate the effecting attributes.

Colonialism can be traced long back in history. The lesser advanced civilization was subjugated for the benefit of the western civilization. In colonialism; apart from controlling the economy, the element of influencing the mass psyche, was always there and thus influenced the culture. The coming centuries saw  the changing  of the form of colonialism to new colonialism, imperialism, imperialism of free trade, new imperialism and now it has emerged in the form of Globalization .Cultural globalization refers to the transmission of ideas, meanings and values across national borders.

The Enlightenment is much more than the historical period. It helps us to understand the distant conclusions towards which certain assumptions lead; and to decide whether or not, that is where we want to go. Enlightenment shaped out past and present. It is the story of man’s first attempt to come to grips with the contemporary world and all its unsolved problems. Enlightenment was not about beliefs or opinion but an attitude of mind; about the nature and man’s place in it, could be understood in terms of general laws that were applicable to everything that existed.

The social ontology and the social structure of Nigeria reveal in a naked  form the dilemma in which an average Nigerian living in Nigeria is presented  with. An average Nigerian finds himself/herself positioned in between the red sea and the devil. The Nigerian social ontology exalts money as the ideal and idolized those who meet this ideal, condemning those who are unfortunate to  meet it to the status of nonentities. Since no sane person would want to be seen as a nonentity, he/she would strive to become (somebody) by attaining the standard of measure of the ideal (wealth).
