Acting in the capacity as both official sworn translators and university professors, we have been witnessing to the issue that legal documents are troublesome specialised instruments with a relevant rate of paired expressions. The same could be said of Divorce Decrees, either issued in the UK or in the US, since they provide us with a significant diversity of doublet and triplet expressions. Hence, they pose a threat for translation trainees, and even for professional translators, since they can resort to somewhat literal translations that might not prove as fluent as the source text.

From triumph to defeat: a qualitative analysis of the new Patriotic party’s (NPP) 2024 Electoral loss in Ghana: Exploring the Political, Economic and Social Dynamics

This study examines the 2024 electoral defeat of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), exploring the political, economic, and social dynamics that contributed to this pivotal event. Using Social Choice Theory as a guiding framework and a qualitative research approach, the study incorporates data from interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The findings reveal that economic hardships, such as high inflation, unemployment, and currency depreciation, significantly undermined public confidence in the NPP’s leadership.

A saúde privada por meio dos planos de saúde vem sendo estimuladaa realizar programas de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças. Objetivo: Verificar os efeitos de um programa de acompanhamento ao hipertenso no contexto de um serviço de saúde suplementar. Método: Estudo quase experimental, do tipo antes e depois,realizado com pacientes que deram entrada no programa desetembro de 2016 a fevereiro 2017.

This study investigates the impact of pre-sales electronic Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM) features on customer satisfaction and loyalty in e-commerce websites, with a specific focus on website usability, information quality, and personalisation. Using a quantitative research design with data collected from 678 respondents across multiple cities, the study employed structural equation modelling to test the hypothesised relationships.
