Stigma associated with electroconvulsive therapy among patients who received ect

The purpose of this study was to assess the stigma associated with ECT among patients at Department of Psychiatry, Christian Medical College, Vellore. A sample of 50 was selected using consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected by interviewing the subjects with Stigma assessment scale. The mean age of patient was 30.42 years Majority of the population still holds ECT as a stigmatizing treatment option.

Macroeconomic effects of capital flow structure in sub-saharan Africa

The influence of capital flows on the macroeconomic stability has been a great concern and examining the effect is of great importance to the macroeconomic policies and risk aversion measures in the recipient countries. Therefore, this study quantitatively analyzed the influences of the capital flows on growth rate of output and inflation rate using several Structural Vector Autoregressive (SVAR) models. The study found that the capital flows have inconclusive effects on output and inflation in the selected African countries from 1985Q1 to 2015Q4.

Human developmentand happiness: A cross-nations path analysis

This paper aimed to analysis correlation between human development, global competitiveness and happiness as well as the impact of human development, bothdirect and indirect, on happiness, with global competitiveness as moderator variable. Cross-section data on human development, global competitiveness and happiness indices were collected from 123 countries and employed in a path analysis model. The results show that the correlation between human development and happiness was positive and very strong.

The effect of tv advertising on mutual fund buying behavior: A study based on aida model

The basic purpose of advertising is to attract attention among the consumers and to persuade them to take action. The main objective of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of TV advertising using the AIDA model for mutual fund products in the city of Patna. A cross sectional-descriptive design has been applied for this purpose and data have been collected from192 mutual fund investors from various areas of the city.
