Undescended testis – Current concepts

Undescended Testis (UDT) is a common congenital anomaly especially in preterm boys. Serial examination is essential to diagnose cases of acquired cryptorchidism. The treatment of UDT has undergone a dramatic change in recent times with emphasis on early surgical intervention between 6 months to 1 year of age. Hormonal therapy to induce descent of testes has been used for over 70 years based on the premise that androgens promote testicular descent, but efficacy is questionable. The traditional approach to surgical treatment of palpable testes is inguinal orchidopexy.

Effect of bioclimate factors on olive (olea europaea l.) yield: to increase the economy and maintaining food security in Palestine

Magnesium based surgical implants: a new modality for osseointegration- A review of current research

This is due to the fact that magnesium implants can be used both, as a scaffolding to allow new bone formation and also as fixative devices, to hold the reduced fractured segments till bone healing takes place. Magnesium is biocompatible and has a modulus of elasticity closer to bone, thus desired over other materials presently being used.

Solving lte handover problem using a new fuzzy logic optimization technique

In cellular networks, the contradiction between traffic demands and network resources is very prominent, also mobile users can move inside the heterogeneous networks from cell to another cell. Aiming at solving these issues, efficient handover (HO) mechanisms are more and more concerned to enhance mobility management. In this paper a new handover optimization algorithm for long term evaluation (LTE) network based on fuzzy logic is presented, named Fuzzy Logic for LTE Handover (FLLH).

Design and fabrication of self aiming and engaging gun (Saeg)

This project involves the complete system design and construction of a SAEG to replace an armed guard. We aimed to develop a compact and highly mobile defence system that allows operational flexibility. The SAEG can autonomously track and shoot at moving targets, while also allowing a user to remotely access and control the gun via computer. The mobility, hardiness, and functionality of this system allows a reliable replacement for human beings in harsh and hostile environments; ultimately sparing a life.

Experimental investigation on thermoelectric generator system for performance enhancement

Experimental Investigation on thermoelectric generator system consisting couple of Thermoelectric Generator modules using two different energy sources, one is solar water heater and the other is gas cartridge heating torch is carried out. Solar energy is used to heat the water through solar water heater to supply heat at the hot side of Thermo Electric Generator (TEG) creating the temperature difference for power generation. This concept is suitable for hot atmosphere like summer season in India, solar radiation is high.
