Phytochemical screening and allelopathic effects of melia azedarch L. on seed germination and seedlind growth of penisitum americanum L

Melia azedarach.L is a medicinal plant .Aqueous extract of leaves, bark and seeds of Melia azedarach.L were assayed at 1, 5 and 10g/L concentration with different time period to check the presence of phytochemicals and their allelopathic effect on seed germination, fresh and dry weight and seedling growth of Pennesitium americanum. Result revealed that aqueous extracts of   plant at all concentration and time period had significantly inhibited seed germination of P.ammericanum L. when compared with control.

It badly affects the environment and ecosystem. Increasing construction site pollution due to increasing construction activities has harmed the environment and human health. Awareness regarding biomedical waste management among health care workers in a tertiary care hospital in New Delhi, India

Introduction: Segregation forms the backbone of Biomedical waste (BMW) management, and the hospitals lack segregation practices which ultimately results in the mixing of BMW with the general waste, and the whole waste stream becomes contaminated & hazardous. Though BMW management rules in India were framed in 1998, many hospitals are still disposing their BMW in a completely indiscriminate manner. Awareness of BMW amongst Health Care Workers (HCWs) plays a key role in its management.

Agronomic performance and nutritive values of napier grass (pennisetum purpureum (l.) schumach) accessions in the central highland of Ethiopia

Ten Napier grass accessions were evaluated for agronomic performance and nutritive values at Holetta agricultural research center during the main cropping seasons of 2011-2014. The experiment was conducted in randomized complete block design with three replications. Diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer at the rate of 100 kg/ha was uniformly applied at planting and additionally urea at the rate of 50 kg/ha was top dressed after each forage harvesting.

A framework for introduction of temporary approval of new health technology (Tanht)

Objectives: To suggest a framework and managing requirements for the temporary approval of new health technology (TANHT) that can meet the needs of patients who have suffered from rare diseases.
Methods: We investigated the Korean healthcare insurance and overseas policies for clinical trials and Coverage with Evidence Development (CED) through a literature review and interviews with experts. Subsequently, using these interviews and literature, we developed a frame work and a detailed procedure for the TANHT.

Health and environment through a legal and ecological perspective: examples from nan province, Thailand

A common work on the link between health and environment is conducted in Southeast Asia, hotspot of emerging infectious diseases with potential pandemic risk and hotspot of biodiversity at threat. This study aims to analyze the local impacts of global changes on zoonotic diseases linked with biodiversity and local perceptions of environmental and biodiversity changes. This multidisciplinary work produces various data and intends to develop integrative approaches to favour the dialogue between disciplines and co-build the analysis tools of an issue in a specific context.

Building standardized tools for subject cataloging work at the vietnam national university hochiminh city library system

Purpose – To share the experiences and challenges faced by the researchers in building standardized tools for subject cataloging work.
Design/methodology/approach – This research used analyzing literature, observation, statistics methods to figure out the cataloging principles and methods and settings as well as integrating subject headings. Besides, personal interviews method is also help to find out the advantages and disadvantages of building subject cataloging tools.
