Seed yield and yield components of vetch species and their accessions under nitosol and vertisol conditions in the central highlands of Ethiopia

Vetch species and their accessions were evaluated for seed yield and yield components at Holetta (nitosol) and Ginchi (vertisol) conditions in the central highlands of Ethiopia. The experiment was conducted in randomized complete block design with three replications. The seed yield and its related performance were highly influenced by environment and hence comparatively higher seed yield and its related performance were recorded at Ginchi than Holetta.

Text encryption and decryption with extended euclidean algorithm and combining the features of linear congruence generator

Security plays a vital role in our communication system through internet.  For this reasons, we protect data from unauthorized users using appropriate encryptions algorithm. Using encryption we convert plain text to cipher text using our proposed secret key and similarly using inverse key we can decrypt the original text. In this algorithm, we read a string, then extract each of the single characters from the string and convert these characters to ASCII equivalent value. Apply proposed secret key, along with ASCII value and appropriate encryption algorithm we encrypt the text.

Human capital externality and sensitivity of TFP growth

This paper explains how externality of human capital enhances TFP growth. It measures the sensitivity of TFP growth to human capital quality in different levels of return to scales by using the appropriate method of growth accounting. Applying this method to some transition economies; Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, we proved an existence of an inverse relationship between returns to scale and TFP growth, and positive relationship between human capital and TFP growth in all countries.

Historical devlopment of modern chemistry

The words ‘’Chemistry” and “Alchemy” have been derived from “Khem”, an ancient name for Egypt. The history of chemistry represents a time span from ancient history to the present. By 1000 BC, civilizations used technologies that would eventually form the basis to the various branches of chemistry. Many chemists lived long ago, so what happened a long time ago is history. Chemistry analyzes the composition of different substances, their physical and chemical properties and the specific conditions under which they combine with other substances.

Identifying factors affecting the mathematics achievement through review analysis

The quality of teaching and learning mathematics has been one of the major challenges and concerns of educators. Knowing the factors affecting math achievement is particularly important for making the best design decisions. This article was constructed to identify the factors affecting the math achievement of students through collecting the reviews. Results revealed that instructional strategies and methods, teacher competency in math education, and motivation or concentration were the three most influential factors that should be considered in the design decisions.

Evaluation of commensal bacterial flora of health care workers, bio-medical waste management and hospital acquired infections: a possible link?

Hospital-acquired infection (HAI) negatively impacts on patient outcomes and causes substantial additional resources to be deployed. About 25% of patients admitted to hospital and nursing homes in the country acquire hospital acquired infections

Role of effective internal audit in public accountability: a model for APC-led government in Nigeria

This paper examined the role of effective internal audit in public accountability using the staff of Accountant-General and Auditor-General’s offices in Enugu State of Nigeria. It made use of 3 specific objectives, 3 research questions and 3 hypotheses. The population of the study was 430 which comprised 318 Accountants and 112 Auditors. From there, a simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 204 Accountants and Auditors on equal basis. Data were gathered for the study with structured questionnaire.

Analysis of non-permitted dyes in bakery and dairy products for forensic consideration

Synthetic dyes and pigments are used in a wide range of industries. The present study was carried out to detect the non-permitted dyes added to bakery and dairy products. Different types of products were collected from local areas of Allahabad like 8 samples of cake, 8 samples of pastry were analysed for identification of the added synthetic food colours and it was found that 2 out of
