Developing infrastructure via public private partnership within the context of millennium development goals (MDGS)

The concept of public private partnership is such that the Private Sector is allow a long- term obligation to yield public service delivery particularly public infrastructure. In Nigeria, the state of infrastructure was poor and insufficient due to successive government’s failure to develop, expand, and maintain the available infrastructure. This paper therefore evaluates public private partnership as a major factor determinant for the procurement of public infrastructures.

The importance role of transport systems on economic development in West Bengal

The economic utilization of different type of resource would incomplete without transportation. From the very earliest times, the modes of transportation have greatly been changed. The traditional transportation system was exchange with the innovation of stem and powerful engines. The density of transportation and its development (modernity) is control of economic development of a country. Reflection of local democracy in community development

This study aimed to critically describe the value of "Local Democracy" in the Leadership and Governance System of the Sultanate of Buton with application to community development. This research used a qualitative approach in the context of the study of community centered onethnographical, historical, and comparative methods(Steward, 1950; Peribadi, et.,al. 2015). All of them were used eclectically, but were given more priority to the aspect of ethnographical method.

Impediments and bottlenecks in implementation of employment guarantee scheme (Mgnrega) in the scheduled areas of Jharkhand, India

India is one of the several fast growing economies of the world. Despite this, poverty is still pervasive in the nation, especially in rural areas where almost 70% of India’s 1.3 billion people dwell. For combating this debauched scenario, a wide range of poverty alleviation policies have been introduced in the country since the liberation of the country from the colonial regime. Among them, the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme outruns all the existing arrangements and stands out as the largest poverty alleviation scheme operational in the country.

Survey on organised and unorganised sectors in campus of jnu

The Indian economy is characterised by the huge majority of informal workers either in unorganized sector or in organized sector and a minority of organized workers. The present paper is survey based report on the conditions of workers in unorganized as well as organized sector in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The study also focusses on the rapid increase in the casualisation of workers in organized sector which has led to decline in the overall working and living conditions of the workers in the organized sector.

An approach to management of data for India’s national action plan on climate change

The National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) enacted by Government of India had considered climate change as a global challenge and is committed to engage multilaterally as per the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Numerous studies had pointed to Global climate change research using big data from Earth observations to enable the coordinated and sustainable development of humanity. NAPCC’s missions will involve huge number of agencies and resources at both at the national level and exchanges at the global level.

This paper examines the factors that influence research participants’ understanding of informed consent and their willingness to participate in health-related research. The paper is based on a study that sought to ascertain the extent to which research participants in Kapseret sub-urban in Uasin Gishu County understood informed consent in the researches they had already participated in at the time of the current study.

Performing information governance: Golden triangle components for apts countermeasures

Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) use multiple processes to break into a system, avoid detection, harvest valuable information, and inflict serious harm to an organization. It may help us perform information governance to implement security policies, identify risk assessment, and block computer packets. There is still a lack of standards in the APTs investigation processes. In order to obtain the required evidences in the court for prosecution, the golden triangle components (People, Process and Technology) for APTs counter measures have been carried out in this study.

Clinical characteristics of multidrug-resistant escherichia coli at a tertiary care university hospital in Japan

Escherichia coli is the leading cause of various infectious diseases such as pneumonia, urinary tract and blood stream infections. Furthermore the emergenceof multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli has been focused worldwide. The objective of this study was to determine the clinical characteristics of multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli at a tertiary care university hospital in the central region of Japan. We determined the in vitro susceptibilities of 10 antimicrobial agents for 530 multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli in Japan.

Awareness of the effect of traditional birth attendance among women of child bearing age

The study is awareness of the effect of traditional birth attendance practices among women of child bearing age. The main objective is to known the level of awareness of the effect of traditional birth attendant among women of child bearing age during pregnancy and delivery methods. A starter and purposive method was conducted where women are divided to starters and only women that have attend traditional birth attendant ware selected among women of child bearing age to be interviewed. Data was collected using a structure questionnaire by the researcher.
