The demographic predictors of lower health promotion lifestyles scores in caregivers of children with disabilities: a quantitative research

Improving the lifestyles of caregivers of children with disability helps to maintain their families’ health while dealing with problems of disability, increases their quality of life. The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship of risk demographics to scores on the Health Promotion Lifestyles Profile (HPLP) and it’s subscales in caregivers of children with disabilities. A cross-sectional descriptive approach with convenience sampling was used.

Clarithromycin associated rash and arthralgia in a child

Clarithromycin is an oral antimicrobial used increasingly in pediatric bacterial infections. We report a case ofmaculopapular rash and arthralgia following administration of Clarithromyc in for lower respiratory tract infection in a four-year-old female child. On discontinuation of the antibiotic, the child recovered full function of the knee joint within seven days. The causality of the event assessed as per the WHO-UMC system for standardized case causality assessment criteria can be considered as ‘probable’.

The national health system of Bulgaria: more than 20 years of radical reforms

The paper examines the developments in Bulgarian health care since 1989. During this period the national health system underwent a major transformation from state health care to a public insurance system. This process has been accompanied by significant legislative, organizational and functional changes and is not completed yet. The article traces the problems accumulated over the years and the tough decisions regarding health care the government faces.

To establish a link between health care associated infection, pathogenic bacteria from health care workers and bio-medical waste management practices in a leading tertiary care centre from India

Health care associated infection (HCAI) is a serious problem both in patient care and amongst health care workers (HCW) which adversely affect the mortality and morbidity despite antimicrobial therapy and advances in supportive care. Today over 1.4 billon people worldwide are suffering from HCAI. Although the role of the hand and nasal flora of HCW in the development of HCAI has been less evaluated by studies. The proper handling and disposal of bio-medical waste (BMW) ensures proper hospital hygiene and safety of the HCW.

Effect of patellar taping vs therapeutic ultrasound on pain and q- angle in subjects with patello femoral pain syndromme

Background: Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a common problem among adolescents and young adults especially in soccer players, cyclists, rowers, volleyball players, ballet dancers, horseback riders, tennis players and runners as well as housewives.1Objective of the study was to find out whether ultrasound therapy with exercises or patellar taping with exercises is more effective on pain and muscle power, KPFPS and Q angle in patients with chondromalacia patella.

Low-complexity multiplier for gf (2m) based on all-one polynomials

This paper presents an area-time-efficient systolic structure for multiplication over GF(2m) based on irreducible all-one polynomial(AOP). We have used a novel cut-set retiming to reduce the duration of the critical-path to one XOR gate delay. It is further shown that the systolic structure can be decomposed into two or more parallel systolic branches, where the pair of parallel systolic branches has the same input operand, and they can share the same input operand registers.

The programme of measures to prevent flooding on the built-up areas on example of Kharkiv city

The paper treats the issue concerned with flooding the urban territories of Ukraine. Large Ukrainian cities are characterized by systematically increasing the groundwater level in built-up areas and expanding areas of flooding. Additional groundwater replenishment is growing together with leaks volume. There are 60% of leaks in some regions. Today in Ukraine, engineering methods are staying the basic measures of flooding prevention and harm reduction of this phenomenon.

Study of tqm and six sigma concept for construction

The manufacturing industry has developed Total Quality Management (TQM) concepts, first applied in Japan and in recent years used in the United States, which have increased productivity, decreased product cost and improved product reliability. TQM focuses on process improvement, customer and supplier involvement, teamwork, and training and education in an effort to achieve customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and defect-free work. TQM provides the culture and climate essential for innovation and for technology advancement.

Spontaneous clustering algorithm for speech recognition and document recommendation

Speech recognition is emerging as a contemporary research topic wherein many studies are conducted to optimize the efficiency of speech recognition and thereafter, suggest relevant documents, texts or any other source of information required by the users. With many real world applications, clustering can be efficiently used for the purpose of speech recognition and recommendation system. Many theories and algorithms have been proposed so far with n gram approach, DNN based system etc.
