Dental panoramic radiographs or orthopantomographs, have received overwhelming attention from clinical researchers and dental practioners worldwide in the recent years. The credit for this interest is attributed to the potential use of orthopantomographs in the prediction of skeletal osteoporosis.
A -day sensitization workshop was organized on career choice in sciences and technology with case study in food science and technology for secondary school science students. The objectives of the workshop were to assess the knowledge of the students on science and technology, food science and technology as a career and entrepreneurship opportunities in food science and technology. Initially, a pre-test was conducted with a structured questionnaire to ask for their level of awareness on S&T, food science and technology and entrepreneurship.
The eyes are at particular risk for oxidative damage due to their high exposure to oxygen, a large amount of fatty acids in the retina and also high light exposure, environmental pollutants and ultraviolet rays. Oxidative stress to the largely retinal pigment epithelial cell layer (RPE) over time is reported to produce tissue dysfunction that contributes to the development of the pathogenesis of many diseases of the visual apparatus.
Nowadays, call centres are more and more numerous in Tunisia. Despite the high turnover in the incoming centre calls, many students work there for a definite period. For those who have opted for a whole career in it, they would often suffer from an acute state of stress. The following article deals with the call centres art, the work exhaustion syndrome “Burnout” and its determinants.
The study was carried out in degraded lands in Central Rift Valley area of Ethiopia in 2012. The main aims of the study were to assess the woody species composition, structure, regeneration, density and diversity in the area closures and in an open area; and to assess the socioeconomic importance of area closures to the local communities. Three area closures and one open area were considered. For vegetation survey, randomized sampling technique was used to locate the sample plots in each area. A total of 60 circular sample plots of each 314 m2area were used.
Delineation of saltwater contamination zones in the groundwater, hydrogeochemical parameters such as Ca/Mg, Cl2/CO3+HCO3,TA/TH, Base Exchange Index and Mg/Ca verses Cl2 have been used. The area chosen for study lies between north latitudes of 16014'29'' and 16043'05'' and the east longitudes of 79035'24'' and 79050'43''. Fifty groundwater samples were collected to analyse chemical constituents of the area under study.
This article discusses the phenomenon of violence towards architecture, mainly, the collective memory associated therewith. It addresses the relationship between architecture and identity, and its role in the formation of social, cultural, and political context in the memory of people or community. It also identifies the buildings and areas mostly targeted in the wars of memory and identity, such as heritage buildings which store large collective memory, and places and scenes that have high symbolic value.
Surface river water is seriously experiencing contamination which threatens human health, ecosystem and plants/animals life. Cluster analysis and principal component analysiswas used to evaluatethe spatial variation and contamination sources of surface water quality data sets initiated from Terengganu river basin and originated during 2003-2007 monitoring of 30 parameters at 13 sampling stations. CA grouped monitoring stations into two based on their similarity characteristics: low pollution source (LPS) and moderate pollution source (MPS).
