Bioactive Compound Contents and Antioxidant and Photoprotective Activities of Eugenia dysenterica (mart.) DC.

Eugenia dysenterica (Mart.) DC. is a tree species native to the Brazilian Cerrado, popularly known as “cagaita” or “cagaiteira.” The species is part of the Cerrado bee flora, and its leaves and bark are used in folk medicine to combat heart problems and treat diarrheal diseases, diabetes, and jaundice. The present study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity and photoprotective potential and determine the content of total phenolic compounds in the ethanol and aqueous extracts of the leaves and bark of a specimen of E. dysenterica.

Named data networking technology and its applications in today’s world

NAMED NAMED DATA NETWORKING also known as NDN, is a network architecture which depicts a new way to browse or design the Internet. Its main purpose is to shift the focus from the current host-centric network model, in which the communication is based on IP addresses and point-to-point communication, to a data-centric model. NDN is an alternative for the traditional host-centric networking architecture, which is based on “Internet Protocol” (IP). It is a useful networking model which allows content directly addressable and routable.

Stream Control Transmission Protocol

Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) is presented as a robust option compared to traditional transport layer protocols like TCP and UDP. It offers various advanced features to meet modern communication needs. This paper provides an overview of SCTP, highlighting its unique attributes and benefits in ensuring reliable, message-oriented communication between hosts. SCTP ensures data integrity through acknowledgment mechanisms and retransmission strategies, even during network disruptions.

Responses of twig functional traits and leaf stoichiometric characteristics of two plantations to simulated nitrogen deposition in the hilly area of central sichuan

The effects of nitrogen deposition on the nutrient limitation pattern and growth strategy of forest trees have already become the research frontiers of forest ecological ecology.

The future of wireless networks: 5g, wi-fi 6 and beyond

In the context of the digital age, wireless networking technologies such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6 are at the heart of significant advancements in digital communications. This article explores the evolution, performance, and applications of 5G and Wi-Fi 6, whiletaking a forward-looking look at the emerging technologies that will define the future of wireless networks. Through a methodology focused on an exhaustive literature review and comparative analysis, we evaluate the advantages, challenges and prospects of these technologies.

Development of an organic de-limer and polisher using the acid from averrhoa Bilimbi (Kamias Fruit): A sustainable solution for industrial cleaning

The central aim of this research was to explore the feasibility of utilizing an organic cleaning solution as an alternative to chemical agents for eliminating watermark stains on stainless steel kitchen countertops, windows, and equipment. The primary objective was to mitigate the adverse environmental impacts associated with descaling agents. The research employed an experimental design to test formulations of Kamias delimer solutions for their total acidity and the reduction of pathogens such as salmonella, E. coli, and staphylococcus.

Development and evaluation of green mussel shell (perna viridis) as filter of greywater for household cleaning

This study investigated the potential of green mussel shells (Perna viridis) as a natural filtration medium for treating greywater, addressing the pressing need for sustainable water management. In line with the 6th United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, 2015), the research aimed to provide a solution to water scarcity challenges. Employing an experimental research design, the study develops and assesses a water filtration device utilizing mussel shell powder as the primary medium.

Utilization of eggshells: A pilot study testing of toothpaste tablet production

Eggshells are one of the main contributors to waste, especially in the food industry as it is being generated in large quantities, causing numerous problems in the environment. In addition, toothpaste tubes in landfills take up to 500 years to biodegrade. The researchers found a way to lessen this environmental problem in the Philippines wherein is to provide a sustainable solution to these issues with the means of creating toothpaste tablets. A quantitative research design was used for this experimental study to assess the acceptability of the toothpaste tablets.
