Effect of extrinsic motivation factors on employee performance in the banking sector

Employee’s motivation is crucial for any business to survive and prosper in today’s competitive business world. Realizing this, the general objective of this study was to examine the effect of extrinsic motivation factors on employee performance in case of commercial banks branch found in Werabe town by taking 156 employees from 256 total populations, so that the study used stratified sampling and simple random sampling. The study adopted mixed approach and used primary data sources.

Hydrogen in sawdust gasification and the equilibrium model

The objective of this work was to study a stoichiometric equilibrium model for the prediction of the hydrogen content in the gas mixture resulting from the gasification of pine sawdust, analyzing the effects of the variables and parameters in a fixed bed gasifier on a pilot plant scale. The main variable studied was temperature, the parameters considered in the gasification process included the oxygen rate and the presence of steam in the gasifying agent.

Thirukkural translations: A sacred text from the town of peacocks –Mayilâpûr India

Translating a literary text is a challenging task, mainly when there is a great social distance between the involved languages. Aiming at a further translation of the sacred poetic Indian text named Thirukkural into Portuguese language, this study had the purpose of collecting some previous data about the existing translations of it, such as: what languages, which style (prose or verse), how many translations in English. The work was mainly based on the chronologic study of Rajagaram (1730-2015).

Tendo em consideração que os meios digitais se tornaram uma ferramenta que auxiliam pesquisadores em seus projetos científicos, este trabalho aborda uma experiência de remodelação para a conformação digital do Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido para o projeto que visa a experiência do paciente dentro de uma maternidade de referência. Em vista disso, a necessidade da adequação do TCLE para pesquisas virtuais se torna de extrema relevância visto que ele é um documento que assegura a ética dentro das pesquisas que abordam a participação de pessoas.

Congruence, personality and homophily/heterophily interactions

Objective: The purpose of the study was to verify if personality characteristics and congruence are associated with homophily and heterophily in two intraorganizational networks: Support Network and Team Selection Network. Method: a survey-type cross-sectional study in which 61 professionals belonging to a single organization of the third sector with a focus on industry participated. The participants responded to three instruments: an inventory of professional interests and occupational demands, for estimation of congruence, personality measure, and two sociometric questions.
