Contribution to mineral exploration along the cameroon volcanic line in bafmeng area, nw cameroon: constraints from stream sediments geochemistry

Oku’s stratovolcano to which Bafmeng area belongs to, is the second largest summit of the Cameroon Volcanic Line and it has ne ver been investigated regarding their mineral potential. Stream sediments geochemistry of the Bafmeng area were carrying out with the aim to elucidating the mineral potential of Mount Oku. The data obtained by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry were statistically treated. Amongst major elements Fe, Al, Mn, Mg and Ti were the most representative and their highest values are 35.5%, 2.01%, 8.63%, 11.7%, 3.8% respectively.

Automatic gate system using image processing for reserved parking zone

The Automatic gate control system will increase convenience and security at entrance of all the important places that require protection and Security. Automatic license plate recognition plays an essential role in many applications and many techniques have been used. These applications range from complex security systems to common areas and from parking admission to urban traffic control. License plate recognition has hard properties due to varied effects as shadows, irregular illumination conditions, variable distances, cars’ velocity, scene's angle on frame.

Flexible broadcasting of scalable video streams in broadband wireless system

This paper presents a unique cross-layer optimization framework to boost the standard of user expertise (QoE) and energy potency of the heterogeneous wireless multimedia system broadcast receivers. User grouping relies on the several UE resolution capabilities and received SNR. A UE capability is decided by the SB at the time of service subscription, once the UE sends its sort info, i.e., the amount of layers it needs to receive. The UE periodically updated its channel condition to the BS through the uplink channel.

To assess the role of fiber rich diets in management of body mass index and waist circumference of human type ii diabetes mellitus

Type II Diabetes mellitus is a long term metabolic disorder that is characterized by high blood sugar, insulin resistance, and relative lack of insulin. Diet plays very important role in the management of Diabetes mellitus. Calories in the form of complex carbohydrate and fiber have multiple benefits in this disease. Since obesity adds more complication in this disease so this study is designed to assess the effects of fiber in management of health status including BMI and waist circumference in human Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Under this study three diets viz.

Effect of zeolite powder on mechanical properties of concrete

Green house gases are the major cause of global warming and carbon dioxide gas are the major emitted green house gas. Portland cement industry alone is contributing to 7% of global CO2 emission. Many investigations are being done in the field of sustainable concrete to reduce the use of cement for reducing CO2 emission rate from cement industry. Recently some studies were focused on the zeolite powder as a partial replacement of cement. Zeolite is a mineral with silica- aluminium components and occurs on post depositional environment over thousand periods.

Power delayed control system in wireless networks

We investigated in detail the methods of Lyapunov for ordinary differential equation systems and the extensions of these due to Razumikhin for delay differential equation systems. We then applied the application of some of these methods to an important general class of continuous-time algorithms for the control of antenna transmission powers in wireless networks. Here we employ appropriately constructed Lyapunov functions to show that, in the absence of time-delays, any bounded power distribution obtained from these algorithms is uniformly asymptotically stabl.

Sleep restriction and its association with adolescent obesity: a review

Adolescence typically describes the years between ages 13 and 19 and can be considered the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. Optimal sleep is needed to promote good health in children and adolescents. Inadequate sleep is seen as a consequence of “modern life”. The present review discusses role of short sleep duration as an independent risk factor for obesity and weight gain.

Household assessment in post conflict situations: strategies, challenges and results: a case study of north east zone, Nigeria

Insurgency activities have led to socio-economic and infrastructural challenges and almost total collapse in the Northeast, Nigeria. Prior to Boko Haram insurgency, most people in the Northeast were involved in agricultural and socio-economic activities. However, the negative effect of insurgency led to displacement of over three million inhabitants, reducing them to refugees with adverse effects on their livelihoods. But with relative peace being restored in most affected communities, displaced people are leaving IDPs camps for their communities.

In vitro effect of nitrogen in large scalepropagation of three cultivar of tomato (lycopersicon esculentum mill.)

The effect of nitrogen was investigated on the micro propagation of three cultivars (Angoorlata, K5-7, A3ad-8) of Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum MILL.) to overcome the challenges related to its cultivation. Sterilized seeds of three cultivars were transferred on hormone free medium and used stem as explants for culture initiation. The stemexplant was cultured on MS medium fortified with BAP (0.5-5.0mg/l) along with Kn(0.5-5.0mg/l), maximum shoot multiplication were recorded on BAP (3mg/l) in cultivars.
