The study of the paranasal sinuses is very useful in the identification of charred bodies and in cases of accidents, such as airplane crashes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of anthropometric indices of the maxillary sinuses, relating them to height, body mass, sex and age of the individuals involved in the research. A computed tomography (CT) of the maxilla from 90 patients of both sexes were taken. The weight, height, sex and age of each individual were collected at that same time.

We can stratify breast cancer into different clinically relevant molecular subtypes. The ARPC3 molecule can significantly contribute to the process of metastasis formation due to its expression in actin cytoskeleton remodeling and has been arousing the interest of many researchers. In this work, we sought to evaluate in silica the role of ARPC3 gene expression and its correlation with prognostic and predictive factors in breast cancer, using several datasets deposited in public repositories.

Introdução: O setor de saúde tem aumentado a utilização das tecnologias de informação e comunicação tanto na gestão como na assistência. O Prontuário Eletrônico do Paciente (PEP) possibilita uma visão multiprofissional e de continuidade da assistência. Objetivo: Identificar no município de Montes Claros – MG os fatores influenciadores na adesão ao PEP pelos profissionais de saúde participantes dos programas de residência em saúde.

Reconhecimento de Imagens é um tema recorrente na área de visão computacional. Passou por várias abordagens estatísticas como a Análise de Componentes Principais (PCA), e suas variantes. Atualmente incorpora elementos de Inteligência Artificial, mais especificamente, Machine Learning. De um modo geral o processo de reconhecimento tem uma fase de pré-processamento, com algoritmos explorando alguma característica da imagem, usando alguma ferramenta estatística, gerando uma base de dados de conhecimento, que na fase de reconhecimento é manipulada por algum algoritmo de Machine Learning.

No ano de 2015, a Organização das Nações Unidas lançou os 17 Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável - ODS (Agenda 2030) como tentativa de mitigar e superar diferentes crises que a humanidade está enfrentando. Nesse sentido, este artigo foca-se no ODS 6, que visa assegurar a disponibilidade e a gestão sustentável da água e o saneamento para todos. Buscou-se identificar indicadores de sustentabilidade em quatro municípios mineiros de relevância para o abastecimento de água da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo, a saber: Extrema, Camanducaia, Itapeva e Sapucaí-Mirim.

A otite externa necrotizante é uma infecção invasiva do conduto auditivo externo e da base do crânio, que quando associado a infecções crônicas da orelha, tais como otite média crônica, torna ainda mais desfavorável o implante coclear. Nesses casos, a petrosectomia subtotal mostra-se um procedimento útil para prevenir a recorrência da doença crônica e diminuir as chances de complicações pós-operatórias.

A presente pesquisa se refere a uma revisão bibliográfica que tem como base os trabalhos científicos disponibilizados na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde que tratam especificamente do diagnóstico do autismo. A análise dessas obras, separadas por categorias, pôde fornecer uma noção ampliada não apenas da evolução dos métodos para o diagnóstico do Transtorno do Espectro Autista, mas uma análise multidisciplinar e contextual do trajeto que se percorre até o diagnóstico final.

This article proposes Nature-based Solutions guidelines to the Jardins Mangueiral Housing Sector, in Brasília, Federal District, Brazil. The methodology consisted of reviewing literature on Nature-based Solutions andgreen infrastructure. The next step was the systematization and categorization of Nature-based Solutions, highlighting the benefits and possibilities of integrating mobility, and sanitation.

This qualitative study explores the development of virtual learning objects for mathematics teaching, specifically geometry in elementary school. The study considers the importance of mathematical representation and visualization on screen in the use of digital technologies and the analyses the mathematical arguments presented by elementary school students and their narratives in the discussion of geometric representations in teaching and learning processes. The data collection method sampled students from a public school with the help of filmed sessions, written records, and field notes.
