Justification and Objectives: Despite the strong evidence, several institutions and services still apply old concepts about preoperative fasting, subjecting patients to prolonged periods of fasting. Thus, in conducting this work, we aim to understand the main obstacles to the abbreviation of preoperative fasting.
Many patients with liver failure use antidepressants extensively metabolized by the liver, making them more sensitive to adverse effects. We aimed to assess the pharmacokinetic characteristics of antidepressants to determine the most suitable drugs in liver failure. Books and databases were used for research. The descriptors used were antidepressants, liver failure, and pharmacokinetics. 18 antidepressants were revised.
Analisar se a idade, sexo, estágio da doença, uso de prótese dentária, presença de disfunção temporomandibular, força de mordida, bem como lado de início dos sintomas são fatores associados à assimetria eletromiográfica dos músculos mastigatórios em pessoas com doença de Parkinson.Trata-se de um estudo de corte transversal, que utilizou o dinamômetro bucal e eletrodos de superfícieconectados ao eletromiógrafo.
Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is a synthetic polymer produced in microspheres form, used in many biomedical areas. Objective: To determine the PMMA injections biocompatibility in striated muscle tissue of Wistar rats. Methods: In vivo biocompatibility and fibrous tissue healing were assessed by histopathological evaluation at 2, 4, 8, and 16 weeks after implantation in 3 groups of adult rats. Group 1, with 20 adult rats, was injected with 30% PMMA gel in the ventral muscle. Other two groups with 20 and 5 rats were studied as control subjects.
Objetivo: Apresentar evidências científicas acerca do papel do enfermeiro enquanto educador em saúde na prevenção do câncer de colo uterino, além de contribuir para a disseminação de informações sobre esta temática. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, denominada anteriormente por ‘’revisão bibliográfica’’, realizada na base Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). A busca ocorreu no mês de março de 2021. Foram incluídos 7 artigos que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão.
O desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias para esquadrias acústicas ventiladas insere-se no contexto da promoção da eficiência energética de edificações, que inclui a compatibilização da dicotomia climatização natural e isolamento acústico de edificações. Tradicionalmente, a utilização de métodos passivos para controle de ruído em esquadrias apresenta limitação de isolamento acústico em baixas frequências, com perda por transmissão inferior a 10 dB. Assim, o presente trabalho apresenta a proposta de aplicação de técnicas de controle ativo de ruído aplicado em venezianas acústicas.

O problema dessa pesquisa foi verificar como a cidade do aluno e seus problemas são considerados nas aulas de Geografia no campus Teresina Central do Instituto Federal do Piauí. Tendo como objetivo geral identificar de que forma os conteúdos sobre a cidade do aluno são considerados em sala de aula.

Four hypotheses will be formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance study will be made. The study will be conducted using quasi–experimental design. Specifically, the pre - test post – test non-equivalent control group design.
