Objectives and aim: The obstetric care of a pregnancy, as it is practiced today, includes non-invasive screening approaches as well as invasive procedures for a definitive prenatal diagnosis of fetal disorders, correlations between indicators for prenatal cytogenetic diagnosis, and results of chromosomal analysis made upon fetal cells.

Quality of life and satisfaction of users of total tissue-supported and implant-supported prostheses in the municipality of Macapá, Brazil

The objective of this study was to evaluate and compared the satisfaction and quality of life of edentulous users of total tissue-supported and total implant-supported prostheses in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil. Two hundred ninety-nine users of total tissue-supported prostheses and 48 users of total implant-supported prostheses were surveyed using two questionnaires: The Oral Health Impact Profile-14Br and a visual analog scale of satisfaction.

Outcome of yoga therapy on depression among elderly residing in selected old age home at Tamil Nadu-India

Depression is the common problem in geriatric population but it is under estimated or may not be concentrated by the health professionals. Untreated depression leads to poor quality of life or ultimately loss of life. Recent studies concentrates on alternative therapy instead the pharmacotherapy which is associated with many untoward effects. This study assessed and compared the pre and post test depression and also studied the influence of the demographic variables of the elderly those residing at old age home.

Introduction Difficulty during preparation is to make the instrument widen the canal and adapt to its shape without deformation Objective quantify the wear on distal walls after Gates Glidden and Reciproc cervical preparation Method 100 molars, totaling 200 canals divided into two groups: A - Gates Glidden and B - Reciproc files. Specimens cut 2 mm cervical level so that it could be replaced in its original position in a PVC trim. Images obtained before and after cervical preparation with a stereoscopic magnifier.

Dengue: context and trajectory in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil

Chest computed tomography findings in febrile patients with hematological malignancies

Background: Pulmonary complications, infectious or non-infectious, are very common complications in patients with hematological malignancy. This study addresses the role of computed tomography (CT) scan in assisting in the diagnosis of pulmonary complications in those patients. Patients and method: This is a prospective study, performed in Baghdad teaching hospital, Medical city, Baghdad, Iraq where 50 patients with and 50 patients without hematological malignancy presented with fever of unknown cause at time of admission in the period from April 2017 to February 2018.

Shock wave therapy for the treatment of the patellar tendinopathy: a systematic review”,

Objective: To identify the benefits of shock wave therapy in the treatment of patellar tendinopathy through a systematic review. Materials and methods: A systematic review study, carried out from October to November 2018. In this article, it was included randomized clinical trials with adults of both sexes who have patellar tendinopathy; studies in which the main treatment was based on shock wave therapy compared to no, minimal or other interventions and studies published in scientific journals between 2013 and 2018 without language restriction.

Reason enough for us to compare our own experience with the use of the vein adhesive with the worldwide specialist literature.

Toxicity of levodopa in parkinson disease therapy

Parkinson's disease is a universal progressive neurological disease, being a more common neurodegenerative disease in the population between 58 and 69 years old. It is constituted as a disease by the degeneration of the black base substance, where a dopamine is synthesized, associated to the presence of cytoplasmic molecules formed by the accumulation of proteins such as Lewy corpuscles. The choice of treatment depends on the functional deficit and response to the treatment already used.
