Abundance and diversity of Niger river rotifers in relation to environmental factors

During two periods 8 months of sampling the community of rotifers was inventoried in relationship with 9 Physico-chemical parameters. The objective of this study was to inventory the specific richness of rotifers of the Niger River in Sotuba and to determine the impact of environmental factors on the composition of Rotiferian fauna. A plankton net Nitex 80 μm mesh and 20 cm of openness has been used, practicing the technique of the horizontal line. It was able to identify 35 species of rotifers grouped in 18 families dominated by the family of Brachionidae with 28.57% of genrus.

Proactive environmental management, in the macro technological and micro technological demands of a company in the south of Ceara – Brazil

This article exposes the dimensions of the term "technology", unfolding in the macro and micro concepts, with its products/processes, and in its technological capability of organization, with a focus on research and development, inserted in the context of companies, it is a case study, where they sought to understand the need to minimize the environmental impact with a proactive management. In this way, while the macro technology is indicative of systemic within the organization, the micro technology covers the technology introduced the products/processes.

Utilization of mass media for the implimentation of community development projects in obio akpor local governmednt area of rivers state

The importance of mass media to the development of human society cannot be overemphasized. Its role in recreating awareness, mobilization of community members for community development among others remains very crucial. As such community media are driven by democratic principles which are socially oriented and not profit driven. This paper therefore, examines the utilization of mass media in the implementation of community development projects in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. Perfil dos atendimentos relacionados a violência em idosos na rede do sistema único de saúde

O objetivo do presente estudo é analisar o perfil dos atendimentos relacionados a violência em idosos na rede do Sistema único de Saúde. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo exploratório com abordagem quantitativa que utilizou dados secundários registrados no Sistema Nacional de Agravos de Notificação-SINAN/ Sistema de Vigilância de Violências e Acidentes – VIVA no período de 2012 a 2016. Foram utilizadas todas as notificações de violência ao idoso no SINAN ocorridas no período de 2012 a 2016. A análise dos dados ocorreu de forma descritiva e inferencial.

Peripartum cardiomyopathy: an integrative review study

Introduction: Peripartum cardiomyopathy is the occurrence of heart failure of the left ventricle in women between the last month of pregnancy and the fifth month of the puerperium. The diagnosis is based on clinical and echocardiographic criteria imposed by National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, but it is little emphasized and not screened in primary care. This article seeks to understand how the diagnosis is performed and what the risk factors associate with peripartum cardiomyopathy.

Conflict management practices in tertiary institutions: the case of university for development studies central administration, Ghana

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate conflict management practices and the main causes of conflict in the university administration in Ghana. The researcher used quantitative methods to classify variables in the study and administered questionnaires as tools to enable accurate data collection. The target population for the research included management staff, senior staff and junior staff at the University for Development Studies UDS central administration in Tamale, Ghana.
