Background: Sepsis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and it is very important to establish a simple clinical evaluation method that can identify patients with signs of organic dysfunction who may be progressing to sepsis. The study objective was to compare the qSOFA and SIRS criteria as triage tools and severity and mortality predictors in patients with sepsis at the emergency sector of a University Hospital in the Midwest of the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Nutrition is essential in order to maintain and restore the functions of the human body. Due to the changing living conditions of children and adolescents, the problem of overweight and obesity has greatly increased in industrialized countries and therefore it is urgent to take action. The method adopted for the study was a review of the relevant literature.

The impact of industry 4.0 on vietnamese labor

The article investigates the impact of the Industry 4.0 on workforce productivity and labor market in Vietnam. This is illustrated that Vietnam has been in the period known as "Golden Population Structure” but the manufacturing depending on the low-skilled labors. Labor productivity in Vietnam has increased considerably in recent years but it is still very low in comparison with countries in Southeast Asia as well as in other Asian countries. Secondary data in the period from 2013 to 2017 was collected from General statistics office of Vietnam.

As institutionalized microfinancing has come under much criticism along its quest in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), not least globally, the search for a more sustainable pro-poor operational approach is being sought. Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus believes that social business offers a more multidimensional approach capable of addressing the most pressing social and environmental problems of especially, poor people in developing countries. Besides, social banking/finance is also being advanced for the social welfare of the poor-but-entrepreneurial.

The priciple of corporate governance in the Ethiopian financial sector- a commentary

The financial sector of every economy accounts to half or even two third of the economy of a country. Despite almost two decades of deregulation and privatization in Ethiopia, the private sector still lives in the state’s shadow and has relatively limited access to finance and markets. The private sector firms in Ethiopia usually have close ties with the state sector and prosper on the peripheral of the state sector. They are not only influenced by state sentiment but also have to budget their capital expenditure or production schedules accordingly.

Most environmental challenges confronting cities in developing countries emanate from the rapid rates of urbanization, population growth, and increasing space demand for human activities, overstretching land resources. In Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital in south-western Nigeria, people’s survival response culminated into encroachment on public spaces, resulting to socio-economic and environmental problems. Bare urban landscape lacking adequate open spaces and greenery heats up in the daytime, thereby making the environment uncomfortable for human activities.

The seismic regime of the da ladder of hydroelectric dam

In this paper, the authors present some primary study results of studying about seismic regime in the Da Ladder of hydroelectric Dam. The following results have shown that natural earthquakes occurred in the Da Ladder of hydroelectric Dam are the strongest in the Vietnam territory. The largest earthquakes with the magnitude of 6.7 have been observed in Tuan Giao and Lai Chau areas.

Family planning and teenage pregnancy

Teen pregnancy is a recurrent fact in Brazil which produces consequences because of the rough change in the young mothers’ lives. The main theme of this study is family planning and teen pregnancy. The research was realized at a Family Health Unit in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, with 10 women, aged between 15 and 24 years old, who became mothers when they were between 12 and 17 years old. They answered a semi-structured questionnaire with open and close questions.
