Growth response of hararghie coffee accessions to soil moisture stress at seedling stage at Jimma, South West Ethiopia

Changes in climatic conditions and, thus, frequent occurrence of dry weathers are increasingly affecting coffee cultivation in Ethiopia through high seedling mortality, poor plant growth and development especially in drier coffee growing areas like Hararghie. However, very limited research has been conducted to identify the response of different coffee accession to water deficit in general and that of Hararghie genotypes in particular. This study was, therefore, conducted to determine growth responses of seedlings of fifteen Coffea arabica accessions collected from Hararghie areas.

Brain waves create consciousness

Consciousness has been a mystery from very early civilization. Every religion and many philosophers have tried to explain consciousness. After rapid development of science and technology, consciousness has been the subject of intense research in psychology, neuroscience and quantum mechanics. Neuroscience is the most promising field and has made significant progress in understanding the structure and function of brain. Human brain has 100 billion neurons and 300 trillion constantly changing connections.

A neuroscience-based methodology to identify the implicit associations of brazilian science teachers towards nuclear technology

Science, technology, and innovation play an essential role in helping countries increase the quality of life they offer their citizens. Since the discovery of nuclear fission in the 30s, the peaceful applications of nuclear technology have benefited several fields. Improved crops, preservation of food, health, environment protection and a stable supply of energy can be cited as contributions of nuclear technology for global wellbeing. Despite all benefits that result from the peaceful uses of nuclear technology, it is still addressed with prejudice.

The most relevant CSR methodologies were selected.

Design and development of portable hydraulic valvespring compressor

This study aims to design and develop a Portable Hydraulic Valve Spring Compressor, test and evaluate its performance in terms of easiness to use, time element for the process, the number of worker/student involve during the work and the quality of work. The study employed descriptive-comparative design, t-test as the statistical tool, questionnaires and observation guide to gather data. Based on the findings, the researcher disclosed that Portable Hydraulic Valve Spring Compressor is easy to use, less time element, less worker and has a quality of work.

Developed motion of robot end-effector of spacelike ruled surfaces (the second case)

The trajectory of a robot end effector is described by a ruled surface and a spin angleabout the ruling of the ruled surface. In this paper, we analyzed the problem of describing trajectory of a robot end-effector by a spacelike ruled surface with spacelike ruling. We obtained the developed frame by rotating the generator frame at an Darboux angle in the plane, which is on the striction curve of the spacelike ruled surface.
