The concept of conventional tooth-retained overdenture is a simple and cost effective treatment than the implant overdentures. This usually requires selecting 2, 3 or more natural teeth to support the denture. Root canal therapy is then performed on these teeth and they are shaved down to the gum and customized posts are then attached into them so that the denture can be anchored on the top of that. This clinical report describes a method of fabricating a tooth supported overdenture retained with custom made posts.

Objective: The objective of the present study is to compare intracellular and extracellular fluid variations in patients with lymphedema and body mass indexes between 25 and 37 with a control group. Subjects: A cross-sectional study was carried out of 30 consecutive patients with grade III (elephantiasis) leg lymphedema and BMI between 25 and 37 treated at the Clinica Godoy in São Jose do Rio Preto-Brazil. Variations in intracellular and extracellular fluid were evaluated by bioelectrical impedance analysis.

Knowing the frequency of vaginal birth after cesarean in a maternity hospital in the southern part of Santa Catarina State. This was an observational and retrospective study carried out through the electronic records analysis, whose sample was composed of 1387 pregnant women with previous cesarean section. Among the pregnant women considered fit for VBAC (n = 1072), cesarean section was the main route of delivery, corresponding to 82.3% of the cases.

Objective: to evaluate the association between an educational action on stress and anxiety levels in patients undergoing heart surgery. Methodology: randomized clinical trial with 32 patients with scheduled elective cardiac surgery divided into two groups: Control Group (CG, n = 16) which received the pre-operative information according to hospital routine; and Intervention Group (IG, n = 16) which participated in an educational action carried out by the multidisciplinary team and associated with the routine of the hospital.
