Objective: to report the experience as perfusionist in cardiovascular surgeries with emphasis on patient safety in the cardiopulmonary bypass. Methods: descriptive study of the type of experience reportabout cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiovascular surgeries in a university hospital located in the south of Brazil from July 2015 to July 2018. Results: cardiopulmonary bypass comprises a set of techniques and use of materials and equipment for the temporary replacement of the patient's cardiopulmonary functions during the main period of cardiovascular surgery.

Objective: To evaluate the relation between serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and cholesterol (CHL). Patients and methods: This is an interventional study on 100 patients from the period of January 2017 to December 2017. All patients completed a questionnaire including age, sex, occupation, residence, present symptoms and duration, previous medical and drugs history, previous surgical history, vaccination. Clinical and physical examination were done to all patient. Completed all investigation including laboratory and radiological investigation.

Introduction: Studies show that depression and diabetes may be linked. In addition, possibly increasing the risk for depression, diabetes may make symptoms of depression worse. Depressed individuals are likely to comply with diabetes self-care recommendations. Knowledge of the main problems faced by infants in this period benefits the incentive to exclusive breastfeeding, since they can be solved early. This study aimed to verify the difficulties found in breastfeeding in the 10 days postpartum of women residing in Imperatriz-Maranhão and attended by the Regional Maternal and Child Hospital (RMCH).

The rabies virus, since a long time ago, has been a constant concern for the world populations, due to being a potentially fatal zoonosis, affects both humans and animals. This study aimed to describe the presentation and the rabies virus epidemiology in Brazil during the years 2014, 2015 and 2016, in different animal species from both the urban cycle, and the rural cycle, in addition to the cases in humans.

ENT pathologies in the course of HIV / AIDS infection are relatively frequent and are of concern to ENT and other health professionals. The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiological profile and clinical aspects of ENT and cervico-facial pathologies in the context of HIV / AIDS infection. This was a prospective prospective study of a descriptive type over a period of six months, July to December 2012 that we collected from 131 patients. Of 572 HIV-positive patients, 131 patients had ENT pathologies with 22.9%. Female predominance was observed with a sex ratio of 1.6.
