In this article I make an attempt to examine the different causes and types of orphanage and try to seek answers to the problems of and challenges to orphan care caused by our contemporary society. Since today’s orphans are the tomorrow’s adults, the topic has significant importance not only on societal, but on political and economic level as well. The idea of orphan care traces back to the broader idea of human security and tightly connected to the rights of children in general.
This paperhas as goal to show the steps of the research performed so that the dissertation named " Memory and journalism: the journey of Jornal da Bahia and two of their intellects - JoãoFalcão and João Gomes - during the Brazilian military dictatorship." was designed. We went through the key issues such as the research’s motivations, the object’s development, the research’s difficulties and redefinitions that it had until it was converted into the final outcome of this work, which is the dissertation.
The LLC “Bionic Natali” company is a startup and has been engaging in the creation of bionic artificial limbs of hands for more than 2 years. From the first steps, the project was been directed on the solution of a problem of development of the domestic bionic functional artificial limb of the hand based on neural network and others algorithms.
The objective was to evaluate nurses knowledge about the correct use of the emergency car. It is a descriptive, exploratory and quantitative study. The target audience of the research were nurses working in the emergency unit of a hospital in the municipality of Fortaleza-Ceará. For the data collection, a structured form was used, containing variables that indicated several factors that tested nurses' knowledge. Twenty nurses participated in the study, of which 95% were female and only 5% were male.
Considering that in rural communities, one of the only forms of leisure is related to the consumption of alcoholic beverages and that adolescents live with this reality and, at an early age, they begin to consume this licit drug in Brazil, by means of interviews with them, if the school offers information on the problem of consumption and abuse of alcoholic beverages. As a data collection procedure, a field work was done with 22 students, between 12 and 14 years of age. As an instrument of data collection, a questionnaire was used with questions related to the proposed theme.
Central Michigan University was engaged by the Calhoun Intermediate School District Data Consortium to explore a pre-service training program on how to use data to inform classroom decisions and how to prepare student teachers on the use of Data Director in a blended learning environment.
Purpose: Herein, we compared the effects of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (SG) on fat liver deposition and expression of hepatic enzymes involved in hepatic de novo (DN) lipogenesis and β-oxidation, in western diet (WD)-obese rats. Methods: At two months after WD consumption, the rats were divided into three groups: WD sham operation (WD-Sham), WD-RYGB and WD-SG. Three months after procedures, hepatic steatosis and lipid metabolism were verified. Results: Both bariatric operations enhanced glucose tolerance and decreased triglycerides (TG) serum levels.
Normally, pre-schools are known as those institutions where children between the age group of 2years to maximum 7years come for playful environment. Jean Piaget, Frobel, Maria Montessori all the famous psychologists are the great contributors of playful learning. But parents often complain that their children are under different kinds of pressure like home work, unit test, term test, besides activity class. There is a lot of peer pressure among parents also. Parents are compelled to feel that they are depriving their children unless they are putting them in a high-pressure environment.

This article aims to study the impact of educational communication on girls’ education in Côte d'Ivoire. The triangulation of qualitative data collected from documentary sources as well as through individual interviews and group focus helped to identify the main determinants of under-enrollment of girls.
