Wellens’ syndrome: a case report

Wellens’ syndrome is a condition in which electrocardiographic (ECG) changes indicate critical proximal left anterior descending artery (LAD) narrowing occurring during the chest pain-free period. Due to the severity of the obstruction, if such cases are managed by early invasive revascularisation therapy, a major threat in the form of a massive myocardial infarction or sudden death may be averted. We report the case of a 56-year-old patient admitted to an emergency department, because of a thoracic pain suspicious for angina pectoris.

Primary myelofibrosis (PMF) is a chronic myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) characterised by neoplastic megakaryocytic proliferation and extensive marrow fibrosis. Leukemic transformation in PMF is frequently seen in later stages of primary myelofibrosis and is associated with a dismal prognosis.

Method: 40 subjects with age group: 65-74 years were randomly assigned into two groups: SSE group (n =20), control group (n = 20). SSE group received 4 weeks of Square stepping exercise training. Control group received 4 weeks of Frenkel’s exercise training.

Comparison Of The Patients Admitted In Icu Perception And Other Hospital Sectors About Care And Support In Health

The patient's opinion about the health service used is fundamental to the health planning. This study aims at knowing and comparing the patients' perception who were hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and patients’ admitted in other hospital sectors about the care and the support provided by the health team. It is a quantitative, transversal, and exploratory study. The sample was composed of 410 adults hospitalized in a Brazilian University Hospital in 2018. Data was collected through a telephone interview, with a structured questionnaire and analyzed by the chi-square test.

Gestation, maternity and congenital infectious diseases: the repercussion of zika, citomegalovirus and toxoplasmose infection

The present article aimed to present a brief bibliographical review regarding the categories gestation, maternity and congenital infectious diseases, specifically the cases involving Zika infection, cytomegalovirus and toxoplasmosis. Emphasis is given to the affections in Brazil and in the world, tracing a brief historical panorama of its emergence. The gestational period is extremely important with regard to the health of the baby, but it is also a complicated stage for the mother, considering the sociobiological process to which she has to adapt.
