Physical illness of physicians and nurses during the new coronavirus pandemic

Ex vivo study of different final irrigation protocols against mature biofilms in root canal system disinfection

In endodontics the main objective is the debridement and disinfection of the root canal system. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of final irrigation protocols using different irrigation systems, with and without using sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) as an irrigant, in promoting the disruption of mature biofilms in moderately curved root canals. Sixty mesial roots from extracted human mandibular molars were used. The root canals were contaminated with a standard strain of Enterococcus faecalis for 21 days.

Dentoskeletal analysis of anteroposterior and vertical changes after use of marpe in patients in final stages of palatal suture fusion: double-blind, controlled, randomized clinical trial

Background: The adverse effects of anteroposterior and vertical changesafter mini-implant assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) may compromise the indication of this treatment for dolicofacial and Class II patients. The aim of this study was to use cone beam computed tomography to evaluate the anteroposterior and vertical dentoskeletal alterations that occurred after palatal expansion with MARPE in patients in the final stages of midpalatal suture maturation.
