Desmame precoce: desvendando mitos e crenças que contribuem para essa prática

A amamentação é um momento de significativa importância na vida da mulher, mais do que um ato fisiológico tem na sua essência aspectos relacionados a uma prática social. Este estudo teve por objetivo geral: Identificar a produção bibliográfica que aborde a influência dos mitos e crenças no processo de desmame precoce. E por objetivos específicos: descrever os mitos e crenças que permeiam o cotidiano da mulher lactante e relacionar os mitos e crenças que podem interferir na prática do aleitamento materno.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is a neoplasm that most frequently affects animals with light skin and fur, with access to the street and that are exposed to chronic UV radiation, which leads to chronic inflammatory lesions. It is characterized as a locally aggressive neoplasm, but there are few reports of distant metastasis. Reconstructive surgeries are extremely important, as they allow a significant injured area of skin to be removed, and at the same time, this site is covered by skin from other regions, obtaining primary and faster healing compared to secondary healing.

Child and youth violence: socio-demographic profile of victims attended at children´s and adolescents´hospital in macapá-amapá (2015 – 2019)

OBJECTIVE: This study aims to assess the epidemiological profile of violence against children and adolescents treated in a public hospital at Macapá from 2015 to 2019. METHOD: This is a research with a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and documentary approach, from the collection of data from medical records. RESULTS: 122 medical records of victims of child and youth violence were evaluated, the age range was from zero to 12 years, with a higher prevalence of children aged 8 to 11, brown color (71.21%), female (81.15%) and residents of the urban area (73.77%).

Prevalence of extremely drug resistant (xdr) acinetobacter baumannii at a northeast brazilian emergency hospital

Acinetobacter baumannii is an opportunistic pathogen that causes healthcare-associated infections, especially in intensive care units (ICUs). This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological and resistance profile of 106 patients hospitalized at an emergency hospital from Teresina, Piauí, Brazil, as well as, to investigate the resistance profile of A. baumannii strains isolated from these patients.

Promoção da saúde à pessoa com diabetes por meio da concepção de um folder educativo no contexto da covid-19: um relato de experiência

Tendo em vista a relevância das atividades de educação em saúde, este trabalho objetivou relatar a experiência sobre a construção de um folder educativo, por um grupo de pesquisa, com orientações para pessoas com diabetes no contexto da pandemia de covid-19. Trata-se de um relato de experiência, construído a partir das seguintes etapas: levantamento das informações, criação de um roteiro para que a construção do material tivesse uma sequência lógica, busca das imagens que compuseram o folder, correção e ajustes e produção técnica.

Quality of work life among nursing professionals in service to covid-19

Objective: to investigate the Quality of Work Life among nursing professionals in a specific inpatient unit for COVID-19 care. Method: descriptive and cross-sectional study. Data were collected through the instrument Total Quality of Work Life-42, whose score ranges from 0 to 100, considering that the highest value represents the best quality of work life score; and a form for social and labor characterization of the participants. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes were applied. Results: the general score for Quality of Work Life was 59.9±7.9.

Activity of hydroalcoholic extracts of commonly discarded seeds of theobroma grandflorum against the vector of arboviruses aedes aegypti

Arboviruses are still diseases considered a global threat to public health, being transmitted by the vector Aedes aegypti, belongs to the family Culicidae. They are hematophagous mosquitoes in which they adopt humans as amplification hosts to ensure the transmission of arboviruses. Aiming at an alternative proposal with the use of a plant source in vector control, the present study aims to evaluate the chemical composition and larvicidal activity of hydroalcoholic extracts of Seeds of Theobroma grandiflorum (Willd. ex Spreng).

New outlines of democratic rules at the Brazilian scenario

In a free, and often democratic, rule of law, the phenomenon of corruption emerges as a corrosive agent of the political-society link. On the national scene, political corruption gives rise to a state of distrust on the part of society over an entire class. And from the disbelief of a people with their elected representatives, the protagonism of the judiciary rises, and from this weakening of political institutions, the tendency to judicialize life is amplified.

Physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of adult patients with covid-19 disease in hospital environment: a systematic review

Since the start of the Covid-19 disease pandemic until August 20, 2021, approximately 210 million infected individuals worldwide have been reported to the World Health Organization (WHO), including more than 4.4 million deaths. In Brazil, more than 21 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded, with approximately 580 thousand deaths reported to the WHO. In general, the elderly and people with comorbidities are at higher risk of developing severe disease. The role of the physiotherapist is necessary at all stages of hospital care.

Analysis of the relationship between depression and selection, optimization and compensation strategies in older people

Life expectancy has increased considerably. As a result, older people acquire more and more visibility of their needs and become more active in society. This study aimed to verify if there is a relationship between depression and Selection, Optimization, and Compensation Strategies in older people living in the city of Ivoti/RS. The study had a descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 193 subjects, of both sexes, between 60 and 79 years old.
