Evaluation of ulceration risk on the feet of diabetic patients from the primary care in a Brazilian County: A cross-sectional analytical study

Objective: To evaluate the risk of developing diabetic foot ulcers in Primary Care patients in a Brazilian county. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study developed in the city of Olinda (PE), Brazil. An analysis of risk factors for diabetic foot ulcerations was made using the criteria established by the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot (2019). The data were analyzed statistically considering P<0.05 and the confidence interval used of 95%. The chi-square association test and the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) were used for multivariate analysis.

O Centro de Atenção Psicossocial da infância e adolescência - CAPSi, que atende crianças e adolescentes oferecem diferentes serviços para essa população, tornando-se necessário avaliar a satisfação de profissionais e familiares de usuários dos serviços. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a satisfação de profissionais e familiares de usuários do Centro de Atenção Psicossocial da Infância e Adolescência. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo.

Functional, biomechanical, and thermographic evaluation of upper limbs in Brazilian JIU-JITSU Practitioners

This is a cross-sectional study with the aim of evaluating the upper limbs of Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners. Fourteen athletes completed the Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand questionnaire, and assessed using hydraulic dynamometry and infrared thermometry.

Importância do acompanhamento a longo prazo em paciente com querubismo

Introdução: O Querubismo é uma displasia fibro-óssea benigna, que acomete a maxila e mandíbula. Causando simetria bilateral, raramente acompanhada de sintomatologias, com curso e tempo de movimentação óssea e dentária variada e individual, dependendo da história familiar e clínica. Objetivo: Revisar a literatura sobre a importância do acompanhamento a longo prazo com pacientes com diagnóstico de querubismo e relatar um caso clínico dessa patologia para exemplificar, enfatizando os aspectos clínicos, história familiar e exames complementares.

Tibial osteomyelitis: report of three cases in a hospital in rio de janeiro

Objective: to report the case of three patients admitted with osteomyelitis in a large hospital. Method: information was obtained by means of medical record review, patient interview, photographic record of the diagnostic methods to which the patient was submitted, and literature review. Final Considerations: post-traumatic osteomyelitis has a high morbidity, often leading the patient to permanently disabling injuries. The reports show the occurrence of post-traumatic tibial osteomyelitis and summarize the management of the respective cases.

Absenteeism-illness in public servers of a higher education unit (University) in Brazil

Introduction: Absenteeism-illness is an indicator of a worker’s health. It is characterized by absence from work due to illness. Objective: Describing the profile of sick leaves due to illness granted to public servers of a public college in Brazil. Methodology: Descriptive documentary study, having as source the data base of the Supervisory Body of Medical Expertise and Work Safety in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, in the period from January, 2011 to December, 2016.

Drugs used in the treatment of women with breast cancer treated at a Brazilian reference Hospital

The aim of this study was to identify the main symptomatic and chemotherapy medications used to treat women with breast cancer at Hospital do Cancer de Pernambuco; state of Pernambuco, Brazil. This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach. Three hundred and seventeen women participated in the survey, who were interviewed in an outpatient clinic unit specialized in Mammary Pathology at Hospital do Cancer de Pernambuco, where, after consenting, they answered a questionnaire related to their clinical treatment.
