Case study of covid-19 in patients admitted to a campaign hospital in the city of recife: a retrospective study

Since it was detected in November 2019, the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), has been expanding across different continents, having been characterized as the cause of the COVID-19 pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020.This is a study descriptive and retrospective of patients diagnosed with COVID-19, hospitalized in a field hospital in the city of Recife in the period from April 2020 to September 2020.

A laser management in cases of laryngeal stenosis due to corrosive poisoning

Background: Post corrosive poisoning result in serious chemical injuries and complications to the gastrointestinal tract and a high mortality rate. Post corrosive Complications that include respiratory injuries are especially significant for determining the severity of acute corrosive poisonings. Mortality is most often caused by tracheal necrosis, perforation of esophagus or stomach, followed by Mediastinitis or peritonitis. Results: Herewith presenting nine cases of laryngotracheal stenosis following corrosive poisoning ingestion.

Clinical safety of zafirlukast treatment during a foreign body inflammatory reaction in nile tilapias, oreochromis niloticus

Seeking to understand the defense mechanisms of tilapia to assist in the sanitary management of fish farms, this study aimed to evaluate the clinical safety of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) submitted to oral treatment with 500μg of zafirlukast/Kg of body weight during chronic inflammation, through the implantation of round glass coverslips in the subcutaneous tissue.

Diagnostic challenges of oral leishmaniasis: unusual presentation of two cases

Leishmaniasis is a non-contagious infectious disease and has a broad spectrum of clinical forms. Isolated oral mucosal leishmaniasis is rare and challenges clinicians and pathologists. We report two cases of oral leishmaniasis manifested as ulcerative growth on the palate and tongue nodule. Histopathological analysis was performed and the final diagnosis was made with the visualization of amastigote-like structures.

Use of topical clindamycin in the treatment of root surface in delayed teeth replantation – study in rats

This study aims to evaluate dentoalveolar repair after topical use of clindamycin as root surface treatment of replanted teeth. Fourteen Wistar rats had the right maxillary incisor extracted and stored dry. The periodontal ligament was removed chemically by immersion in 1% sodium hypochlorite. Specimens were distributed into an experimental group (immersion in clindamycin solution for 5 minutes) and a control group (no topical antibiotic treatment) and then replanted.

Conhecimento de enfermeiros intensivistas acerca do diagnóstico deenfermagem risco de olho seco

Objetivo:analisar o conhecimento de enfermeiros acerca do diagnóstico de Enfermagem Risco de Olho Seco em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: estudo descritivo com abordagem qualitativa,desenvolvido com onze enfermeiros integrantes do quadro de funcionários do hospital escolhido como cenário da pesquisa. O estudo foi desenvolvido nas unidades de tratamento intensivo de um hospital público de média a alta complexidade, vinculado ao SUS, referência em oncologia, localizado na cidade de Belém, Estado do Pará. As informações foram analisadas pela técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin.
