Resilição unilateral, contratos relacionais e a covid19: breve leitura do ordenamento jurídico brasileiro aplicável

A pesquisa tem como objetivo a análise da posição dos Tribunais brasileiros quando confrontados com a possibilidade de denúncia unilateral dos contratos e a garantia do equilíbrio das relações, principalmente em tempos de crise como a propagada pela COVID19, isto é, como desenvolver métodos que evitem a quebra da função social e boa-fé objetiva entre os contratantes. O trabalho foi desenvolvido pelo método da pesquisa qualitativa e pesquisa bibliográfica, analisando decisões, o contexto legislativo aplicável, projeto de lei e a doutrina jurídica.

Study on bullying and its effects with students in fundamental education in school of interior paulista

Bullying is defined as a set of intentional aggressions practiced in an unequal power relationship, bringing numerous psychological, physical, social, and learning consequences for the individual. In addition, it affects 43% of children and youth in Brazil, according to the UN. In view of this wide scope, it must be combated in order to provide a better quality of life for students.

Profile of patients with sepsis admitted in the intensive care unit of a teaching hospital in Brazil

The study aimed to characterize patients with sepsis in a hospital environment. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional and quantitative study, carried out from October 2017 to April 2018, in a teaching hospital in the Northeast Region of Brazil. The sample consisted of 74 patients admitted to the infirmary and the general intensive care unit. Among those surveyed, 54.1% of males, ages ranged from 20 to 90 years, with a mean of 52.9 years. In relation to the outbreak of infection, the most frequent was pulmonary (31.1%), followed by abdominal (17.6%) and urological (12.2%).

Recyclability by extrusion molding of high-density polyethylene from plastic bags

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is one of the main materials used in the world, applied in the most varied human activities. Because of its extreme resistance, it take years to degrade in nature, causing buildup of large volumes of material in landfills, when it does not end up in aquatic habitats due to the lack of awareness by society. Therefore, the recycling of this material is important. In this context, the present study describes the recycling of HDPE from plastic bags with four extrusion cycles in a twin-screw extruder.

Effects of task-specific rehabilitation on functions of the upper extremity in chronic stroke

Background and Purpose: Post stroke, many individuals have severely limited functional movement control due to chronic unilateral motor dysfunction in upper extremity. Study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Task-specific rehabilitation on upper extremity function. For this, Bilateral Movement Training (BMT) was given to see its effects on upper extremity functions with a chronic stroke of more than 6 months and less than 2 years earlier.

Tecnologias de tratamento de esgoto para a cidade de ouro preto – mg

Em meio a tanto desenvolvimento tecnológico, a falta de saneamento básico continua sendo um problema mundial. O cenário é crítico: 2,3 bilhões de pessoas no mundo sem acesso a nenhuma forma de coleta e tratamento de esgoto. No Brasil 37,8% dos municípios estão nessa mesma situação. Mesmo muitas regiões apresentando dados de atendimento bastante positivos, observa-se que eles são contestáveis. Minas gerais, por exemplo,que apresenta atendimento de referência, superior a 70%, possui a cidade de Ouro Preto com um sistema totalmente ineficiente.

Teacher training and science education in the early years of fundamental education in Contemporaneity

In the training of science teachers, it is essential to rethink the place of scientific knowledge in the neoliberal model and the approaches to science education focused on our political participation in training processes. This research aims to analyze the initial formation of teachers and the teaching-learning of Sciences, in the early years of Elementary Education, in the Pedagogy course, at the State University of Maranhão - UEMA. The study emerged from the discursive interactions in the classes of the Fundamentals and Methodology of Science Teaching discipline, in 2018.

White forest and ethnobotany: Endemic knowledge as a key element in the treatment of coronavirus disease

This article carefully presents, in a discursive, detailed, and historical perspective, an analysis on traditional groups’ knowledge in natural systems of Caatinga (“white forest”) and its potential for technological advances in the proposal of phytoproducts to resolve or reduce the negative effects of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Thus, this study is an act of reflection that translates the meaning of the relationship between society and nature, leading us to a field of vision that denotes the relevance of the sustainable use of natural resources as a driver of regional development.

Salivary biomarker: A noninvasive diagnostic markers for early detection of oral cancer; a review

Oral cancer is among the most common cancers worldwide. More than 90% of oral cancers are oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Diagnosis of such malignant oral tumor are often at late state with poor prognosis and the survival rate is generally very low; So considering this fact, early detection of oral cancer is urgently needed. Many recent studies have been conducted to the search for early salivary biomarkers of oral cancers. Investigation of Salivary biomarkers are simple, non-invasive and inexpensive test.

Association between self esteem and anxiety levels in high-risk pregnant women in a reference maternity hospital in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil

Objective: To evaluate the association between self-esteem and anxiety in pregnant women admitted to a high-risk sector. Methods: Quantitative, cross-sectional, observational study. Data were collected through interviews with pregnant women admitted to the high-risk maternity ward, from April 1 to June 31, 2016. The sample totaled 112 women and was by convenience. Results: Of the women, 72.3% presented low self-esteem and significant correlation with educational level (p = 0.004). The anxiety was 60.7% and the religion was the only variable with a significant association (p = 0.04).
