Information technology in bragança pará, brazil: challenges for the qualification of community health agents

Objective: the present study aims to evaluate the skills of Community Health Agents of the Municipality of Bragança-Pará, Brazil, in the use of Tecnology of Information and communication (ICT). Methodology: This is a study with a quantitative approach of a descriptive nature. The research was carried out in the city of Bragança in the state of Pará, in the period of May and June of 2019 and counted on the application of an instrument containing closed questions in order and a practical evaluation was performed to verify the skills of the CHA with the ICTs.

The surface screening of neonatal intensive care unit for multidrug resistant gram-negative bacteria

Introduction: Contaminated surfaces within the hospital environment are potential reservoirs of health care associated multidrug resistant pathogens. Methods: The study was conducted in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, in Brazil. The Gram-negative bacteria were identified by MALDI-TOF MS. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed and screened for ESBL and AmpC production. Results: Of the 408 samples collected, 30 presented contamination by Gram-negative bacteria, including 19 multidrug resistant, in which 10 were ESBL producers and 19 were AmpC producers.

Prospective comparative study on etiologic diagnosis of ventilator-associated pneumonia

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a pulmonary infection highly prevalent and lethal. The clinical diagnostic is the most used, even though it is not specific, and the collection of the biological material, fundamental for the handling of these patients, does not have a definite gold standard method. The present study aimed to evaluate different methods, invasive or noninvasive, on VAP etiologic diagnosis. It is a prospective, observational study carried on in a tertiary hospital.

Music as a soft technology applied in a group of pregnant women: nursing care

Introduction: The mother is an essential figure in the child’s personality. Her relationship with their child begins with the fetus’ formation and goes on for all their lives; The pregnancy is understood as a situation of crisis in the woman’s life cycle and involves a complex change caused by the baby’s advent regarding psychological, biological, biochemical and socio-economical aspects. The objective was to comprehend the pregnant woman’s reactions, emotions, feelings and perceptions about maternity, from the use of music.

Diagnósticos de enfermagem utilizando a cipe®para crianças com microcefalia

Objetivo: Construir diagnósticos de enfermagem a partir do perfil clínico de crianças nascidas com microcefalia. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de estudo descritivo, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado no município de João Pessoa-PB-Brasil. A população foi composta por crianças nascidas com microcefalia acompanhadas para realização de estimulação precoce. A amostra é do tipo não probabilística por conveniência, composta por sete crianças nascidas com microcefalia.

Objective: To identify in the literature the contribution of the nursing team to the caregiver / family member of the pediatric cancer patient. Method: This is a descriptive / exploratory, documentary, integrative review study.

Perception of parents about digital use and use of technologies in children's health

This study aimed to know the perception of parents about digital play in their children's daily life. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire to promote the mapping of the daily life of children and their families and to the playful use of digital technologies. As a result, most of the respondents pointed to the Smartphone as the technology the child uses to play/play. The number of losses was greater than the number of advantages, however, most parents believe that the use of technologies for the development of skills related to cognition is beneficial.

Odontological approach on the oral hygienization in patients with motor deficiency

Motor deficiency corresponds to a congenital or acquired dysfunction that affects the individuals' motility (mobility, coordination, speech). Many patients with motor deficiency present deficient oral hygiene because they depend on caregivers to perform it, which is not always an easy task, often lacking adequate knowledge, skills, method, and instruments. The dentist is the professional specialized and responsible to train and promote the education of appropriate form of caregivers and parents and people with motor disabilities to perform a quality oral hygiene in the best possible way.

Cutaneous paracoccidioidomycosis: unraveling a chronic multifocal form

Paracoccidioidomycosis is a systemic fungal disease caused by Paracoccidioidesbrasiliensis. It is the most prevalent systemic mycosis in Brazil and is found predominantly in males between the 4th and 6th decades of life.Due to the involvement of multiple organs and the severe sequel potential, paracoccidioidomycosis is still a public health problem and, therefore, is a disease of great importance to the dermatologist.Given the above, we report a case of cutaneous paracoccidioidomycosis, with the subsequent discovery of pulmonary involvement and associated adrenal glands.
