Siddha is one of the ancient medical systems in India considered as the mother medicine of ancient Tamils/ Dravidians in South India. The word Siddha means “Established Truth” or “One who is accomplished. Bronchitis is the inflammation of the mucous lining of the bronchial tree (air passages) of the lungs. The process of making yarns from the textile fiber is called spinning. There are various type of spinning methods producing various types of yarns such as stable yarn, spinning filament yarn and multi-component yarns.

Describing the paarvai paarthal-traditional practices for diagnosis and management of poisonous bites in Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu

Paarvai paarthal is a traditionally practiced method of magical healing the poisonous bite. Study of traditional healing practices is an important area in the discipline of folklore and anthropology in traditional societies most of the bodily illness are related to supernatural power and several kinds of ritual, vows and offering are performed in order to heal the illness .it tries to understand how the body is culturally professed, purified and healed through rituals in a particular cultural context.

Halitosis and prosthetic status of patients a clinical survey

The objectives of this study were to assess the oral malodor in patients and analyze its association with prosthetic status of them. The study comprised 94 patients (60 males and 34 females) between the ages of 34 and 68 years old. This cross-sectional survey was carried out at the ENT department of the Metaxas Cancer hospital. Oral malodor was assessed by two clinician judges using the organoleptic method. There was agreement between the two clinicians. The prevalence of malodor was high (43,33%) in the men who worn complete or partial dentures.

Diabetic foot tracking and monitoring strategies in nurse practice

Objective: To identify, in the literature, the strategies for tracking and monitoring diabetic foot in nurses' practice. Method: Integrative review conducted in the MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science, BDENF and LILACS bibliographic databases, between 2002 and 2018, totaling 23 articles. Results: The main strategies for diabetic foot tracking were the 10 g Semmes-Weinstein monofilament, the 128 Hz tuning fork, the assessment of the posterior and pedistibial pulses, the risk stratification, the ankle reflex and the Neuropathy Screening Instrument. from Michigan.

Hemovigilance: the practice of the transfusional audit process in the hemopa foundation

This work analyzed the practice of the transfusion audit carried out by the Hemovigilance and Supervision Department of the HEMOPA Foundation. It is a descriptive, documental, retrospective, quantitative study that analyzed the monthly reports of the transfusion audits conducted between 2015 and 2017. In this period, the hemovigilance sector visited 20 health institutions in the metropolitan region of Belém, which performed 36,217 transfusions, 7.3% of which were audited and 78.8% of them presented inadequacies or nonconformities in the process.

Analysis of oral injury bipsies carried out in a clinical school of dentistry in northeast Brazil

This study aimed to analyze biopsied lesions at the Faculdade de Imperatriz, Maranhão, Brazil. A sample of 150 cases of patients who underwent a biopsy procedure during the period from 2013 to 2016 were included in the research. As data samples were performed through the reports of the archives in the dental clinic of the Faculdade de Imperatriz.

Impact of mastectomy on women's self-estems

Objective: To analyze the impacts of mastectomy on the self-esteem of women who have cancer and who attend a high complexity hospital. Method: This is a descriptive-qualitative study conducted in a reference hospital in oncology Teresina-PI. For data analysis, the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method was used. Results: It was verified through the speeches, how much breast removal interferes with female self-esteem.
