Color-matching according to the use of light-curing characterizing materials and composite resin thicknesses

This study aimed to evaluate the ability of light-curing characterizing material sand two thicknesses of composite dentin resin on masking differents dark substrates. 320 composite resin specimens were divided into 6 experimental groups (n=50), which were divided into 5 subgroups (n=10) according to the different characterizing material sand resin coverage thicknesses; and 2 control groups (n=10). The darkened bases were made in laboratory composite resin, in colors DA4, DB4 and DC4.

Tendency of tongue positioning during crying in infants with and without lingual frenulum alteration

The study aimed to verify the interference of lingual frenulum with tongue positioning during crying in infants with normal and altered lingual frenulum. From the administration of the Neonatal Tongue Screening Test (NTST) 641 healthy full-term infants of both genders were diagnosed with or without lingual frenulum alteration at the first month of life. Both groups were included in this study. The tendency of tongue positioning during crying was observed and analyzed in both groups and the Chi-square test was used for the statistical treatment at 5% significance level (p<0,05).

Lower limbs strength in elderly people from the physiotherapy intervention

Objective: This study looked for assessing the lower limbs strength gain from the physiotherapy intervention. Methods: It is an interventional, cross-sectional, analytical and quantitative study with 17 elderly people enrolled in a Vitória da Conquista Health Unit. A sociodemographic questionnaire was applied, and then the sit to stand test. Afterwards, the intervention began, comprised by exercises of resistance and the delivery of an informative booklet. The intervention was carried out for 30 days, twice a week, 60 minutes each, resulting in 10 sessions.

Spatial analysis of hansen’s disease and social conditions: An integrative review

Objective: To analyze the scientific production on spatial analysis of Hansen’sdisease and the relationship with the social conditions, the most prevalent Geographic Information Systems. Method: Integrative review of articles published in English, Portuguese and Spanish in the databases MEDLINE, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCES, CINAHL, CUIDEN, LILACS, IBESC and BDENF. The methodological rigor and the level of evidence were verified by means of the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) and evidence-based practice, respectively.

Globally by 2017 about 425 million people worldwide suffer from Diabetes Mellitus and the highest prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in Indonesia is in Central Sulawesi about 3.7%. 43% or 3.7 million death due to high blood Sugar to patients with Diabetes Melitus in 2016. Cases of patients with Diabetes Mellitus in Anutapura Palu hospital reported in 2017 as many as 4177 patients.

Humanization of nursing care from the i-other relationship: ethics, alterity and responsibility

Currently, the term humanization has been widely discussed in the health area, however, there are no changes in care practices. Considering alterity as essential for a humanized relationship by the demand for a singular assistance, this study aimed to reflect on the humanization of nursing care from the I-other relationship proposed by the philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas. The I-other relationship pointed out by Lévinas presents the other as absolute alterity and the self as passive subjectivity, which despite being in relation, remain radically separated.

Association between health self-perception and lifestyle of co resident elderly people

Objective: This study aimed at assessing the relation between the health self-perception and lifestyle of co resident elderly people. Methodology: It was a descriptive and analytical study with a cross-sectional design, population-based, and quantitative approach. The participants were represented by 239 elderly individuals, carried out in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. The data were collected by means of a Brazil Old Age Schedule multidimensional questionnaire. The level of significance adopted for data analysis was of 5% (α = 0.05).

This manuscript is a bibliographical review involving caregivers, children and adolescents welcomed. The aim of the manuscript is to understand the meaning of the unconscious contents and the daily life of the caregivers of children and adolescents through the analysis of works published in the literature. In addition, the manuscript also aims to identify the importance of the caregiver of children and adolescents, as well as the institutions that dedicate themselves to this activity.

Assessment of quality of health care in the family health strategy: a permanent challenge

The aim of this manuscript was to evaluate the quality of health care offered by the Family Health Strategy, from a professional perspective. It is an evaluative study carried out in the city of Campo Grande / MS, Brazil. For the accomplishment of this study was used a validated instrument widely used in Brazil and in other countries, called PCATOOL. This instrument was applied to professionals of higher level acting in the teams of health of the Brazilian family.
