Perception of elderly people in cohabitation regarding their family relationships

Objective: To comprehend the perceptions of the elderly people in cohabitation regarding their Family relationships. Methods: It is a study with a qualitative approach and of descriptive and exploratory character. It was carried out with 71 elderly people registered in two Family Health Units in the city of Vitória da Conquista – Bahiawho displayed preserved cognitive conditions. There were collected the data through an interview comprising a semi-structured questionnaire with a guiding question during the months of December 2017 to June 2018, through household visits.

Unhealthy behaviors of weigh control and suicide in adolecents: A integrative Review

This integrative review aims to identify in the literature the relationship between unhealthy attitudes of weight control and suicidal behavior in adolescents. The bibliographic survey was carried out in September 2017 in National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health and Virtual Health Library databases. The temporality of the publications was selected between the years 2013 and 2017. The guiding question was: what’s the relationship between unhealthy attitudes of weight control and suicidal behavior?

Maternity, initially named as puerperium, is characterized by particularities that raise specific care based on the prevention of complications, and in the physical and emotional comfort for a healthy motherhood. Objective: To reflect on the subjectivity of puerperal care and the transcendence of being a mother in the light of the Comfort Theory. Simultaneous occurrence of kaposi’s sarcoma and anaplastic t lymphoma in non-aids patient: New association or likely coincidence

Background: the association of Kaposi’s sarcoma and lymphoma is rarely encountered, although the involvement of HHV8 in several lymphoid pathologies is known. Case presentation: we report a case of a 78-year-old man with Kaposi’s sarcoma confirmed by cutaneous biopsy associated with anaplastic T large cell lymphoma on lymph node. Patient received chemotherapy according to the R-CHOP protocol with a good improvement.

Cytotoxic effect of chloroform and hexane extracts of arnebia densiflora on neuroblastomacell line

Objective: We investigated to prepare chloroform and hexane extracts from root parts of Arnebia densiflora (Boraginaceae) plant, to determine cytotoxicity activity on neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cell lines. Materials and Methods: Arnebia densiflora used in this study were collected from Kangal/Sivas, Turkey at a height of 1540 meters at the stage of full flowering and was identified by Prof. Dr. Akpulat HA, Cumhuriyet University Sivas, Turkey. Dried and powdered roots (5g) were extracted 50mL of chloroform and hexane separately, by maceration method for 24 h in a shaker at room temperature.

Inadequacies of prenatal visits in sran-belakro, Cote D'ivoire: A community solution perspective

Introduction: Problems of irregular prenatal care are a concern in Côte d'Ivoire. The most common traditional approaches in the process, including information, community education and behaviour change communication, are far from efficient. What should be done about the severity of this issue today? To address it, I propose a new approach: a community health approach based on a participatory procedure. An ethno-botanical survey of medicinal plants in Moolaikaraipatti, Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu, India

An Ethno-botanical survey was carried out to record information on medicinal plants from native healers and public from Moolaikaraipatti. This study was field visit and identified existent medicinal plants used for treating diseases in various ways. Main informers are area common public and their data confirmed by traditional practitioner with direct interview conversation. This survey identified and recorded 249 plants from 27 families, used to treating diseases in Moolaikaraipatti area. The Fabaceae family plants were most represented while medicinal used collections.
