Aims and Objectives: To assess the prevalence, to identify the risk, to find out the association between the prevalence and risk with variables and to identify the deficit areas of knowledge in view to prepare a pamphlet for early detection & prevention of varicose veins.

Predictive value of snappe ii for neonatal mortality

The objective of the study was to analyze the Score for Neonatal Acute Physiology Perinatal Extension IIscore as a predictor of neonatal mortality, describing the clinical and epidemiological profile of neonates hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit at a cardiology reference institution in the Northern Regionin Brazil. Nine clinical variables were investigated by analyzing each patient's chart and were duly scored. The study score ranged from 0 to 162, and the higher the score, the higher was the severity of the newborn’s condition, considering the duration of hospital stay.
