Actors - fishing gear and production of fisheries resources of the marine artisanal fisheries landed in Abidjan - Côte d'ivoire

The artisanal productions of the maritime fishing resources were studied in three landing-stageof Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire) from May to October 2014. Artisanal maritime fishing in Cote d’Ivoire is exclusively practiced by the Ghanaians Fanti, Ewé and Ningo ethnics groups. The most dominant age class is 25 - 40 years old, which accounts for 62% of total fishermen, followed by those of 17- 25 years old (33%). The fishermen over 40 years old represent 5% of the total number of fishers. The unloaded resources are distributed between 16 families and 26 fish species and one species of Mollusc.

Biological Sulfate reduction using – hydrogen and methanol as energy and carbon sources for treating acid mine drainage

Acid-mine drainage (AMD) contains high concentrations of heavy metals these contaminants were generally avoided by lime neutralization. However, this method is expensive and generates large amounts of residual sludge. The selective precipitation of metals using H2S produced biologically by sulfate reducing bacteria has been proposed as an alternative process. in this study, acid mine drainage was treated in a laboratory scale. Bioreactor fed with an H2 and Methanol was used to treat acid mine drainage. The maximum rate of H2 transfer suggests that this step should not be a limiting factor.

Genotoxic effects of cadmium chloride on polytene chromosomes of Sarcophaga ruficornis (fab.) (Sarcophagidae: Diptera)

Cadmium ranks close to lead and mercury in toxicological importance due to its increasing levels in the environment, as a result of industrial practices of past and present. Chromosomal responses to cadmium chloride shocks were studied in the pupal footpad polytene chromosomes of Sarcophaga ruficornis. Cadmium chloride induces a single puff on chromosome arm IIL at the region 12A by in vitro treatment. Heat shock and other chemical stresses is also induced similar puff in several sarcophagids.

Nanoemulsion- An Antiobesity drug

Currently, obesity is a major health problem worldwide because of its rising prevalence and strong association with pathological disorders such as cardio vascular diseases, diabetes- type 2, hypertension, infertility and some forms of cancer. Nanotechnology has been developed into a multidisciplinary field of applied science and technology for target application. People prefer to take antiobesity drugs to reduce body weight rather than work outs. But these conventional drugs may cause adverse effects on heart and other organs.

Coastal ecotourism-based development for fishermen settlement in labuan bajo, donggala, central sulawesi

Education Donggala has a potency which consists of the settlements of fishermen and coral cape that has attractiveness in natural and cultural tourism. The potency of the region should play an important role in the development of the region. It can be seen from the growth of tourist arrived from year to year, but the fishermen are generally still low-income. This fact is an interesting phenomenon to be further investigated to determine the various issues related to non-optimal development of fishermen settlement potency with coastal ecotourism potential.

Phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity of leaves and cell suspension culture from seed derived callus of Spinacia Oleracae

Objective: To screen the phytochemical constituents as well as  to assess the total phenolic content and antioxidant potential of plant extract(leaves) and cell suspension culture extract from the seed derived callus of Spinacia oleracae.

Evaluation of the level of infestation species of Agroecosystems woody by Loranthaceae in the region Sud-Comoe (Côte d’ivoire)

Currently, obesity is a major health problem worldwide because of its rising prevalence and strong association with pathological disorders such as cardio vascular diseases, diabetes- type 2, hypertension, infertility and some forms of cancer. Effect of safari (crotalaria Senegalensis) husk and sorghum husk (sorghum bicolor) on the performance of desert lambs

The experiment was conducted at animal production farm, faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Gadarif to investigate the effect of Safari (Crotalaria senegalensis) huskand Sorghum husk (Sorghum bicolor) on the performance of desert lambs. Twelve desert lamb males were selected (6-9 month of age) from animal production farm flock with average weight 26.7 kg.

Study on cyanide determination by pyridine – Pyrazole reagent and its application to evaluate some cyanide contaminated wastewater resources in Hanoi

The Cyanide compounds have been listed as one of the toxic pollutants that are usually released into environment. A study on cyanide analysis has been devised to determine the total cyanide concentration in wastewater. This work determines the concentration of total cyanide in water and wastewater collected in some metal plating factories in Hanoi. The determination of cyanide (simple CN-) is based on the chlorination of cyanide and the subsequent reaction of the product with a mixed solution of pyridine – pyrazolone to form a stable color complex.
