Factors associated with pre-hypertension in young school-aged adults
Objective: To analyze the factors associated with pre-hypertension in young school-aged adults. Design and Sample: Cross-sectional study conducted from August 2015 to September 2016 with 1073 young school-aged adults in schools from Fortaleza-Ceará-Brazil. Measures: In the multivariate analysis, the statistical procedure for adjusting the potential confounding effects was the logistic regression. Results: The pre-hypertension is 5.5 more prevalent in men, while those with a family history of hypertension is 1.5 more prevalent.
