Determination of propranolol chloride content in generic, similar and manipulated medicinal product by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry

Propranolol Hydrochloride inhibits the stimulation of beta-adrenergic receptors (beta-1 and beta-2) present in the body such as the heart and blood vessels. It was the first successful beta-blocker developed, it is one of the most used drugs mainly in the treatment of hypertension, it is also indicated for the treatment and prevention of myocardial infarction, angina, cardiac arrhythmias, as well as migraine. However, this article aims to verify the Propranolol Hydrochloride content in Generic, Similar and Manipulated drug, by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.

Relationship between pressoric levels and glomerular filtration rate: assessment in primary care

Systemic arterial hypertension affects more than 30% of the adult population and one of its complications is the reduction of renal function. The present study aimed to: Evaluate the glomerular filtration rate in hypertensive patients treated at a basic health unit in the city of Lages - SC. This is an observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and retrospective study conducted from the collection and analysis of data from medical records.

The impact of the kangaroo mother method on nursing care for preterm and low birth weight infants in Brazil

Objective: to analyze the impact of the kangaroo mother method on nursing care for preterm and low birth weight infants in Brazil. Methodology: qualitative study, exploratory character, based on bibliographic studies. Results: Nineteen articles were identified in national journals that met the inclusion criteria, which deal with the kangaroo mother method. After reading the abstracts of the articles, eight were selected for the analysis.

Measure of kyphosis does not determine respiratory muscle strength and spirometric values in elderly

The aging process is constant and growing, reducing functional capacity and the presence of chronic diseases that can affect the respiratory system and posture. The present study analyzed the influence of kyphosis measure and Charpy angle on respiratory strength and spirometric parameters in apparently healthy elderly. Spirometric, manovacuometric, Charpy angle, and thoracic kyphosis evaluation were performed. A low correlation was found between the measure of thoracic kyphosis and the Charpy angle. The sample had a high level of education and a low prevalence of comorbidities.

Association between most prevalent side effects and number of chemotherapy sessions in women with breast neoplasia

Objective: This study aims to associate the most prevalent side effects with the duration of chemotherapy treatment of women with breast cancer assisted at the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, conducted at the Outpatient Unit of a specialized clinic for breast pathology at the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital (PCH).

Kangaroo mother method: maternal perception of the disease care guidance towards the newborn

This study aimed to recognize the maternal perceptions of nursing team in the orientation of newborn cares in the Kangaroo Method (KM). It is a descriptive study, with qualitative approach, performed at Hospital Fundação Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Pará (FSCMPA). It was developed with 16 mothers of newborns admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the first stage; The second stage is marked to be the Kangaroo Mother hospitalization. It was approved at Committee of Ethics and Research of CESUPA and of FSCMPA and obeys466/12 of CONEP resolution.

Avaliação da utilização de tuberculostáticos em uma unidade de saúde em belém/pa

A tuberculose é uma doença infectocontagiosa que afeta prioritariamente os pulmões, mas também pode ocorrer em outros órgãos do corpo.Trata se de um estudo descritivo, retrospectivo, que foi realizado em uma unidade de saúde em Belém, onde foram coletados os dados a partir do levantamento do sistema HÒRUS e do livro de controle de pacientes com tuberculose pulmonar nosanos de 2016 a 2018. A alta prevalência da TB no período estudado, é possível notar o aumento na taxa de incidênciada doença, no número de comprimidos dispensados, demonstrando que os casos só aumentaram nesses anos.

A incidência de casos de dengue e sua relação com a precipitação nas mesorregiões de um estado da amazônia brasileira

Proposal to a protocol for monitoring chronic kidney disease in primary health care

Objective: to propose a protocol for monitoring chronic kidney disease in primary health care. Method: exploratory study organized in two phases, elaboration and evaluation of the protocol. The sample used to evaluate the protocol was composed by 15 health professionals and data were collected between August and September 2014, through a questionnaire. Results: the protocol was structured in six instruments: identification; self-reported interview of risk factors; nursing consultation; medical consultation; service flow chart; and protocol instruction manual and guidelines.
