Socioeconomic profile, operation, commercialization and income: a case study of the paa in the city of caxias-maranhão

The work had as a maing goal approaching the economic and social aspects of the Programa Aquisição de Alimentos – PAA (Food Acquisition Program) in the “Cocais” region in the State of Maranhãowith enphasis in the city of Caxias. As specific objectives, an analysis of the socioeconomic profile of the families benefited with the PAA was done, then identifying who are the supplier beneficiaries of the program; the operation of the purchase process and the commercialization channels have also been verified. The research tool used was a case study.

Prazo médio de processos no segundo grau de jurisdição: um estudo baseado em mineração de dados em uma organização jurídica

This paper presents a data mining study based on the process time average in the second instance in a Brazilian law organization. First, a review of knowledge discovery in databases and data mining concepts was performed, and after, some data mining techniques were applied on a database with 51,052 records relating to pending processes in the second instance. The obtained results covered a discretization of the amount of time in which the processes were pending, in which internal areas the process was, as well as the procedural class that defined it.

Access issues: transportation challenges and healthcare delivery in rural settings

The aim of the work in this paper is to present the results from a study of how the quality of life in remote locations and rural settings of Bayelsa State, Nigeria can be enhanced through improvement in healthcare accessibility. The methodology comprised desktop study, questionnaire survey, participant observations and interviews. A survey comprising 2,000 distributed questionnaires was conducted between July 2016 and July 2017 within seven selected states in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. A total of 1,800 questionnaires were completed and returned.

Salivary cortisol levels concentration after resistance exercise

To analyze whether there are changes in salivary cortisol concentration levels before and after resistance exercises, with different rest periods. The sample was20 individuals allocated in 2 groups with: resistance exercise 30secandresistance exercise60sec. They performed plyometric jumps followed by squat. The salivary sample was collected to measure salivary cortisol concentration. There was no difference in cortisol concentration between pre and post exercise in any intervention (p> 0.05). The protocol used did not alter salivary cortisol after resistance exercise.

Resistance profile of contaminating organisms isolated from ready -to-eat vegetable salad from selected eateries in a university setting

In recent years, salad has become a very popular component of menu served at birthdays, wedding parties and at home; they are also sold in fast food centers in most major cities in Nigeria. Reports of unverified rampant cases of gastroenteritis following consumption of meals served with fresh vegetable salads have become serious public health concern which necessitate the need for this investigation. Ready to eat salad samples were investigated for pathogenic bacteria and the strains isolated were subjected to biochemical and morphological test for identification.

Acidentes com idosos em domicílio: revisão integrativa

This paper aims to identify the main causes of accidents with elderly at home and the consequences they cause to this population. This is a qualitative study, which adopted the integrative literature review (IR) as a methodology, which allows the synthesis of multiple published studies on the subject. Of the 200 articles located in the LILACS, SciELO and VHL databases, 10 were selected according to the inclusion criteria proposed by the research.
